"I don’t remember who told me that selling was a job for a lifetime, but they were right. If you can sell, you can find a job in sports. I will take a high school dropout who is caring, involved and can sell over an MBA in sports management almost every time. What makes a good salesperson? Let me be clear that it’s not the person who can talk someone into anything. It’s not the hustler who is a smooth talker. The best salespeople are the ones who put themselves in their customer’s shoes and provide a solution that makes the customer happy."

It's a compilation of Cuban's blog posts, it's fairly short, but he did a great job of putting it together so that the story has a flow to it. A must read for anyone wanting to achieve something, Mark is sincere and to the point, the book reflects his way of thinking and he's not sugarcoating anything.

Just a history of what her did in the past, pretty much what he always talks about during his interviews, no reflections, or lessons, poorly written. Overpriced. watch one of his interviews in Youtube. Save your money, thank me later

I loved this book and I am grateful that Mr. Cuban took the time to share his great knowledge with the world.
The book is so inspiring that I keep a copy of it on my desk everyday so I can look at it for inspiration.
It teaches many great lessons but this one was my favorite.
The One Thing in Life You Can Control: Effort
I love this part of the book because it teaches you not to be results oriented.
It is a reminder to always do your best in life and be grateful for opportunities.
I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to learn from one of the greatest minds in history.

I love Mark Cuban, and it was interesting to hear his stories about getting started in business. He talks about working hard and staying committed to success to become the best, because you're competing against others who also want to become the best. This viewpoint carries a lot of weight coming from a guy like Cuban who has been very successful. If you've read his blog over the last few years, you've probably seen all the content already, but the book format is perfect for keeping all his tips and tricks wrapped up in one spot. If you've never read his blog, and you like Mark Cuban, you must own this book.

Cuban says things is the most basic language. His words of wisdom should be followed by all entrepreneurs. This is an enjoyable read.

You can find all the little text assembled in this book for free online, but reading it in this format was much nicer. Mark Cuban doesn't need an introduction but the book gets you to know him a bit more intimately and get a glimpse of how he things and runs his things. Required casual reading for any business enthusiast.

This book contained some interesting stories about Mark’s life. It also contained some good tips on business! Some of it is outdated though and it’s kind of funny when he talks about HDnet like it’s going to be a huge success but I’ve never even heard of it. Also a lot of the tech stuff went completely over my head. There were definitely some good take aways though!

Realistic, easy to read, straight forward advice

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book nor the author but on reflection after completing the book and having read many books from successful business gurus/leaders, this is the best book I have read with straightforward and honest advice from someone who comes across as a genuine, decent guy who has achieved what he has through hard work and perseverance. Definitely worth a read.

This is the sort of book you need when the world has kicked you up the arse and left you feeling sorry for yourself. It’s a great pick me up that lets you know that you can keep going. The book itself also does have some good advice on start ups and business in general.

As the author clarifies at the very beginning this is not meant to be a "book" in an organic way; it is more a collection of autobiographical episodes, business tips and advice and a general outllok on the world of technology.
Yet, there is plenty to enjoy.
I would not have a huge interest in either business or technology and still found this book fascinating.
Cuban guides us through hilarious stunts from his youth, funny anectodes on the computer world's sacred monsters (B. Gates, M. Dell) and his initial achievements and setbacks as a start-up with a remarkable crispy style. Excellent reading.
The sections on advice for entreprenuers and general views on the business/technology world are, of course, less entertaining and the style is not quite as original but still you find gems of inspiration and sublime insights on the mental approach to competition.
Definitely worth a lot more than it costs.
Would recommend STRONGLY.

As tiny and short as this book is, it cuts straight to the point and is a brilliant read... I only wish it was longer. Maybe Mark will release an expanded version in a few years - fingers crossed.

getting insights from any billionaire is time well spent if your looking to understand how people can start from nothing and make something of themselves. this book will give you a good insight into some of the mindsets and action you need to take to get the ball rolling in the right direction. Mark Cuban comes across and a ordinary guy that made big things happen, and that you could do the same thing to.
