Product Description

One of the fastest paths to success is starting a new project like a business, blog, book or some other creative endeavor. Side projects can result in extra income, greater fulfillment and even a more enjoyable career. If you aren't creating something in your spare time, you aren't reaching your full potential.

Unfortunately, most people can't find the time, energy or correct life priorities to start and complete creative side projects. They keep putting off planning these projects, never finding out what they could have accomplished if they'd only created something.

Author Bryan Cohen is no stranger to creative productivity. He's earned more than $35,000 in the past few years from his side business, Build Creative Writing Ideas. His 30 books, all of which were written in the past few years, have sold more than 20,000 copies. He achieved this success through the life-enriching tips he learned by reading dozens of books, attending multiple conferences and through his own trial and error.

He's put in hundreds of hours of refining his creativity techniques so that you don't have to. By using Cohen's tips and tricks, you'll start planning your business, book, blog or course in the next few days with optimized time, renewed energy and an improved balance in your life.

For purchasing this concise 16,000-word book, you'll get an added bonus: 75% off access to Cohen's online video course on the education platform Udemy.

It's time to create your side project. Buy this book today!

Great little read on time management and motivation - while not ground-breaking, I found the information quite useful. I will be trying out some of the tips.

I have read many self help and time management books, and still, there were some ideas in this book that were new to me. It was easy to read, clear, and to the point.

HASH(0x9c4442a0) out of 5 stars Useless and filled with common sense July 1 2013
By R. Kinjo - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Pros:
*Great book cover and title (proves that great cover and titles gets conversions)
*Paid $0.00
*Will boost your confidence and self-esteem by realizing that anyone can write a book

Cons:
*Everything
*Very generic advice and some without much thought

Here is a sample of tips that are purely common sense and some that lack depth:
*Tip #17 - 1 of the 5 tips for saving massive amounts of time is to "use your sick/vacation days to spend a week straight on your project"
*Tip #19 - "Cut your lunch and dinner in half"
*Tip #69 - "Work harder and smarter"
*Tip #74 - "Look at your latest bank statements to find ways to cut cost"
*Tip #92 - "Figure how to do it free or cheap"

Maybe I should write a book titled "How to improve your life in 7 days"
*Day #1 - Have a Plan
*Day #2 - Eat Healthy
*Day #3 - Exercise
*Day #4 - Be Happy
*Day #5 - Start a Business
*Day #6 - Continue Learning
*Day #7 - Go on Vacation

HASH(0x9c4445f4) out of 5 stars Ask others for help. Duh! July 29 2013
By Bloodsigns - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This Book is filled with useless tips.
I am Sorry to say, that a Lot of tips consist of "do this" and "do that",
E.g. "Market the hell out of your product": really nice advise... But HOW?

The author does not tell us how.

Other tips are:

- Use the 80/20 principle to be more productive
- Create Goals that you are very proud of
- Sign up for a 5K marathon and train for it

Someone could write a book on each of these tips!
Oh, wait, people already did that:

Use the 80/20 principle: The 80/20 Principle: The Secret to Achieving More with Less
Create Goals: Goal Setting: 13 Secrets of World Class Achievers
Sign up for a 5K marathon: Marathon: The Ultimate Training Guide: Advice, Plans, and Programs for Half and Full Marathons

The author could focus on only one of these "ways" to write a very good specialized book.

HASH(0x9c444834) out of 5 stars A quick read with useful information June 20 2013
By J.V. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
**I've received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review**

I had originally intended to rate it 3 stars, as my expectations of a book titled "How to Work for Yourself" were different to what I actually read. However, upon seeing the price and the subtitle, I firmly believe that implementing just one suggestion in the book will return many, many, many multiples of the investment and that the title is quite adequate.

Before reading the book, I expected either a story of how a fictional young John Doe went from working a 9-to-5, to step-by-step laying out an action plan and carving the personal resources to execute it, or a standard multi-chapter long-form story on what the author did to move from working for someone else to working for himself. This book gave 100 ways (and then some) to prepare yourself mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially to undertake a side-venture. A minority of them were obvious, but some of them were tips that I never honestly thought of (at least no-one ever explained them to me in that way).

HASH(0x9c444ab0) out of 5 stars What a scam! April 28 2014
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com

this book has absolutely nothing to do with the title of the book. The Author gives you 105 pieces of crappy advice that have nothing to do with starting a business. For example: eat a cold breakfast, it can save you 5 minutes! Wake up without pressing the snooze button! What?!

HASH(0x9c444948) out of 5 stars Steer Clear of This "How To" June 20 2014
By CT - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This "how to" is a huge let-down. It's really nothing other than a promo for the author's real money-maker: the course he offers in time management. As such, it should have been offered on his web-site as a freebie.

It offers nothing that one couldn't have thought up one's self, and many of the 100 ideas are just plain ridiculous (in other words, fillers to reach the target of 100). Usually, in these kinds of lists, one expects a couple of gems in among all the rocks, but in this one, nothing doing.

Shoot me down if you like, but I think the Internet has become a way for too many out there to make a fast buck. But, I suppose I should blame myself. By not being more discerning in my selections, I add to the stats that buoy the "how to" industry.

But you don't have to take my word for it. Why not spend some of your hard-earned lucre on this title and see for yourself.
