Great art but with much of drawn from one source (Scyth), it lacks a lot of variety.
Also the so-called tutorials at the back of the book are not tutorials. They do not even mention the software that he uses or any of the techniques for achieving his look. All they are is a behind the scenes look into the internal design process of the artist. It's a look at his workflow, it is NOT a tutorial to create similar work.

Great art but lacks variety, "tutorial" content is mislabelled. They're not tutorials.

So worth the extra nickels. Gorgeous hardcover book and I cannot wait to frame the prints that came with it. Jakub's work is so inspirational for fans of steam punk and fantasy elements. A must have for anyone in love with those sub genres!

The book and prints came in excellent condition. However, there is a big crack and tear in the decorative box.

This book reminds me of Simon Stalenhag's odd themes, the familiar combined with the fantastic. Not a disappointment.

My only wish is that there were more werewolf pictures in this book. Otherwise it is incredible.

The art is fantastic. I bought it for my partner as he wants to try his hand at Jakub's asthetic. All his paintings are just so pretty.

If you love Scythe/1920+ artwork, a must-buy
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 12, 2019Verified Purchase
Whether they liked the game Scythe or not, one consistent part of all reviews of that game has been the wonderful art of Jakub Rozalski. This book includes many drawings from his imagining of his 1920+ world, but also pictures drawn from his love of werewolves, colossi, and even gnomes! With commentary from the artist in both English and Polish, this is a must-buy for anyone who loves his artwork and world-building from Scythe.

Sensational! A must have.

I'm not a regular reviewer of products but this book is so good I felt compelled. The world Jakub creates is like a mix of Steam Punk & a world of harrowing fairetales that seems to perfectly straddle past & future. It is full of stunningly imaginative paintings most of which are printed full page in a really high quality book. This is a must for anyone who likes this type of art. A dcefinte 10 out of 10.

Fantastic artbook
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 30, 2019Verified Purchase
Jakub Rozalski has a way of adding a degree of realism to his robots. The images are painted in the style of period european rural scenes, but with robots! This grounds them in a reality which helps sell the concepts. I have loads of scifi artbooks and this is one of the best. Well worth getting - I've even ordered prints of several of the images for my wall :)

Love this guy's work, especially behemoths moving out of the mist, looking like they were painted a hundred years ago. Lovely style that when finished tells a tale.
