Product Description

In the hundred-year-plus history of aviation, truly radical new aircraft designs come along only once in a generation, and since the early ’70s, there’s been very little new in the skies…that is until now. Soaring onto the passenger airliner scene are the “game changing” Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Take a seat and strap yourself in for the thrilling flights of these amazing airplanes in some of the most breathtaking sequences ever seen. You will see the first public flight of the massive, but super-efficient Airbus A380 at the 2007 Paris Air Show and the first flight of the smaller, even more efficient 787, the first-ever carbon fiber airliner that made its maiden flight in 2009. This unique cinematic experience shows how the 787 might affect the next 100 years of aeronautical design.

DOn't buy it. Its more a promotional video for Boeing, all they focus is how new boeing 777 is being built and as you can see picture of it on title as well. Regert buying it.

Per earlier reviews, this does appear to be a Boeing promo video, and there isn't a lot of "history" here.
However, the filming is beautiful and the blu ray really delivers great 3d crisp video - especially the scene with the Canadian warship. Not sure if it's worth buying not on sale though...

Thought it would be on history of flight, but is more on the design and building of the Boeing 787. Uneven in quality. Most scenes with flying planes done by computer animation but not bad. However cheesy animated birds spoil some scenes. 3D effects are generally good, but sometimes over done. Great scene on the the Lockheed Superconstellation prop airplane and the Harrier jets, but mostly done with computers. May appear like Boeing advertisement but they can be rightfully proud of what they do. Not a must have title in my opinion, but would buy again if on sale.

Good flight scenes, wich is only about 10-15 mins, the rest is just interresting 3d graphics and promo documentary. title is misleading.
