For the uninitiated, this is a semi-hollow body guitar, with a sort of viola shape and archtop. the body of the guitar is physically larger than most solid body electric guitar bodies, so if you're looking for something super compact, then this wouldn't be the best option for you. This is geared towards Jazz guitar, but that doesn't limit you to playing that genre - you can really play whatever you want. The semi-hollow body means that you will get some sound out of the body when it's not plugged in, which is nice for playing on the couch or quietly if you're living in an apartment and don't want to plug in. In contrast, solid body guitars won't produce any useful sound if not plugged in.
I've only recently gotten into Jazz guitar, so I'm not quite qualified to go into specific details about the pickups, or other technical details of this guitar. From my research online, this uses humbucker pickups which are supposed to be a great value, and from my personal experience, it's sounded great. As a person just getting into electric guitar, this has been a really great entry point for me. Something that I really look for in an instrument is good value and room to grow - you generally don't want to buy the cheapest option, as it won't be conducive to your playing and you'll quickly outgrow it, moving onto a better built instrument. I feel like this definitely fits the bill for me, and I've been exceedingly happy with it. Compared to the low end strat imitation guitar I purchased in my youth, this has been a much better option.
Overall, fantastic build quality and really happy with the value for money you get in this. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get an electric.

Delivery however was disappointing. I ordered on a Thursday and was informed the guitar would be delivered the following Wednesday - hardly two day delivery per the terms of Amazon Prime. But the guitar didn't arrive Wednesday. When it arrived the following day the packaging was terrible. The box wasn't even taped closed. Anyone could have slid the top off and tampered with the contents.
Luckily guitar is fine, no marks of any kind. I'm happy to have this great guitar in my collection and next time I'll be sure not to purchase from the same vendor.
