How do ice cream makers work?
Put the doubled-walled bowl into the freezer for approximately 24 hours or until the solution between the inner and outer walls has frozen. Then, simply add your mixture to the bowl, remembering to plug it. While the solution defrosts, your ice cream will solidify in around 20 to 30 minutes. Without the operational churner, your ice cream will freeze into a large crystallised block.
In its purest form, ice cream is simply milk or cream with added sugar. However, for those culinary aficionados who like to get creative in the kitchen, there are a plethora of tasty recipes to experiment with. For flavour variants, try adding chocolate or strawberry. If you want to add a little texture, nuts or morals of fudge or brownie go down a treat. An ice cream maker is also an excellent choice for making sorbets and frozen yoghurt.
