About the Author

David Wright is a professor and the Canada Research Chair in the History of Health Policy at McGill University.


Anne Digby is Research Professor in History at Oxford Brookes University. Currently she is collaborating with colleagues from the University of Cape Town in researching the history of Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, where the world's first heart transplant took place.
