Product Description

Sometimes it takes crossing an ocean to figure out where you belong.

It's been two years since twenty-year-old Jordan had a boyfriend—which means it's been forever since she, well, you know. But now she’s off to spend her junior year in Aberdeen, Scotland, the perfect place to stop waiting for Mr. Right and just enjoy Mr. Right Now.

Sexy, sweet (and possible player) Griffin may be her perfect, no-strings-attached match. He’s fun, gorgeous, and makes her laugh. So why can’t she stop thinking about Noah who, minutes after being trapped together outside the train’s loo, kisses Jordan like she’s never been kissed before? Never mind his impossible blue eyes, his weathered, annotated copy of The Great Gatsby (total English-major porn)…oh, and his girlfriend.

Jordan knows everything this year has an expiration date. Aberdeen is supposed to be about fun rather than waiting for life to happen. But E. M. Forster, Shakespeare, and mistletoe on Valentine’s Day make her reconsider what love is and how far she’s willing to go for the right guy.

HASH(0xa608bda4) out of 5 stars Truly one of the sweetest & loveliest NA books March 24 2014

Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is one of my favorite New Adult book. Smart, sweet and just saucy enough, I want to keep reading it over and over again.

Can't wait for more AJ Pine books. And can the next one have more Jordan? And Noah? And Griffin?

And more quotes from my favorite books? And more re-enactments of my favorite movie scenes?

And more Scotland? Because Scotland!

HASH(0xa609000c) out of 5 stars Frustrating at points, but definitely stick it out till the end. Good read! April 9 2014

The description sold me. This sounded like something that would be so good. And while I did enjoy it, I have to say the first half of the book was so much better than the second half. If it weren't my kindle I was reading it on, this book may have gone sailing across the room. But we'll get to that later. The beginning of the book had me laughing quite a few times. The meeting between Griffin and Jordan was fantastic and they just meshed very well together. I actually fell a little hard for Griffin. Like, I wish I could've pulled Jordan out of the story and inserted myself in her place because he's the type of guy I'd want. So I'm a bit biased toward his character because in my eyes, he was damn near perfect.

But then Jordan runs in to Noah (literally) going to the loo. They get trapped together and it's one of the most exciting and thrilling meetings any two characters can have. Let me tell you. He's a good looking guy whose into literature (bonus for us booknerds) but come on, perfection doesn't just fall in your lap, right?

Do you know what I was bummed about? This book is about this American chick going overseas to Scotland for a year of school and she's in the middle of a love triangle with two American boys. COME ON! You're going to the land of the kilts and you're going to be hung up on two American boys?! Give me a man in a kilt and let me worry about falling in love with an American when I get back. But it's okay, really, because we have a man in a kilt who is like the best friend of the guys and an interest of the romantic sort to Jordan's roommate so at least we're not deprived of the kilt.

For a New Adult book, I found this to be pretty tame. So if you're looking for something a little older than YA but not full of sexy times, this is probably a good book to add to your list. Not saying there's no sexy times, it's just not as often nor as detailed. But it doesn't mean you won't be swooning or anything because you will.

You're probably wondering why I gave this book three stars. I really can't talk about why I took my rating down without really spoiling it but let's just say, a certain character really made me mad more times than I care to admit. To the point of where I was about to write these characters off because I just couldn't take anymore of it. I seriously was about to suffer from a massive case of whiplash and I just didn't want to deal with the physical pain of it. I stuck it out because I had gotten that far, it would've been ridiculous to stop and I'm glad I did because I was happy with the ending.

This was my first book that I've read by AJ Pine and it won't be the last. I love her writing style, and the way she can write out these amazing characters.

We meet Jordan while she's on a train traveling to Aberdeen University. While on the train, she meets Griffin, who happens to sit down beside her and starts up a conversation. She learns that Griffin is a man-whore. But he's the worst kind of man- whore, he has a heart. He tells her he isn't Mr. Right, he's Mr. Right now.

Jordan runs off to the loo, and after arriving she finds it occupied. She is standing outside the door when it opens and the occupant lands in her face. After the mishap, she comes back out of the loo to find that same boy just outside the door. It seems as though the doors to get back in the train car to their seats are jammed.

After he starts to have a panic attack she starts up a conversation and they realize they have a strong reaction to each other. Noah and Jordan hit it off while being stuck in that cubby area, and share a life-altering kids. Then Noah gets a text message on his phone and the spell is broken.

Jordan goes back to her seat with Griffin. They decide since they already know each other, they should do the tour together for the school the next day. Once they arrive Jordan comes face to face with Noah, and his girlfriend. saw that right girlfriend. Jordan and Griffin start a relationship, one that is easy and no commitments, just go with the flow type relationship.

Noah confuses Jordan, he seems to want her and tries to explain his situation with her but Jordan doesn't want to hear it. She is hurt that the kiss meant something to her and it didn't him. We learn quickly that things are not always what they seem.

They both do stupid things to hurt each other, but they can't seem to stay away. There are so many moments in this book where my heart was in my throat. I love when I connect with a book on a level where I feel like I'm the main character going through all these emotions. I will be on the look-out for books from this author in the future.

I am so glad I decided to join this review tour. This book touched everything I Love in a book. It had romance, angst, the sexy book boyfriends, and a heroine who I liked. Grab this one babes! You won't be sorry that you did!

HASH(0xa60904c8) out of 5 stars If Only March 26 2014

This was probably one of the best books I've read so far this year. If Only was an amazing story about a young woman discovering herself and falling in love far away from home. Jordan was a great female lead, who is smart and strong, someone that I can see myself being friends with in real life. I liked both of the male love interests, and I must admit that I was a bit team Griffin for a good portion of the book, especially since Noah kept messing up. I had hoped that after Noah had one too many jerk moments Jordan would meet up with Griffin and reform him of his no commitment ways, but all ended well and I can't help but be happy with the ending. I can only hope that the author jumps on the series bandwagon and we get more Noah and Jordan in the future. A little extra Griffin and Duncan wouldn't hurt either.

I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

I was team Noah all the way, "Noah fastens his hands behind his neck and groans. "That's not what I meant. S***, what is it about you, Brooks? I've known you for a day, but you make me crazy like I've known you for years. Everything you're thinking right now is an assumption, and you're probably wrong about ninety percent of it." I just loved him, "not now. I mean, yes. I do want you to come with me now. But I'm talking about this summer. We need more time. Come with me to Europe. Stay with me until August." I just loved him I can't think of anything else intelligent to say, "see?" he says, his lips still on my skin. "Noises like that," he teases, kissing down the inside of my thigh. "When it's time, don't you worry. The boxers will be history."
