Wow... just wow! I read and review a lot of MC books, but this one has me thinking I need a Griff! Ladies, this is the type of novel that will pull on those heartstrings and make you fall in love with both characters. I loved it. Nina has done it again.

Griff. Pure, raw alpha male biker who lost everything growing up then as an adult, got crushed by a woman so bad he has no faith in women at all. He is also hiding a secret as to why he came into the MC world; one that he knows could get him thrown out. It's Christmas in this novel and Griff is dealing with demons from his past, so he does what he does best. Drink, drink and more drink. Then he receives a phone call from a cousin that makes him angry as his identity could come out. While visiting an aunt, he meets her next door neighbour Sophia, who gets his interest but at the same time, he pushes her away. He knows he is no good for her, wants just one night but one look at her and he knows she's not a one night girl.

Sophia is an independent woman who has no family; however, she found her stepsister six months ago. She's also dealing with a past that no child should have gone through, and all she wants is to be loved and cared for. I really connected with her here and I knew that when she fell instantly for Griff, it wouldn't be without its complications. Emotions run high for both of them and after making a short-standing agreement of sorts, things go from complicated to a heart-rending level causing her feelings of rejection. She is told by someone to do something about it which she does. Griff has never had a woman do what she did; he's not himself and she can read the hurt, pain and anger he's holding back. Things come to a head when Sophia tells him...

Sophie ~ "'Let me be who you need.

ILLUSIVE☆ Love the title😉! LOVE THE BOOK!
Fantastamazing!!!  Griff's story is here and it is Exciting Evocative Invigorating Captivating and Seductively Sexy!!!
I am so happy we finally have Griff's story and the mystery behind the compelling complex Biker is revealed.
Illusive sheds  light into Griff whose obstacles in life molded him into who he is, or was before fate gave him an absolutely lovable funny and "REAL"  woman, Sofia to open his eyes to see the great man he is, all the love he is capable of giving and deserves for himself.
I always suspected there was more to Griff than what we knew before Illusive even when I had a very strong dislike for him and after reading Illusive, and getting to know Griff and his personal life/demons I am ashamed to ever admit that I felt that way towards him.
I love Griff! I Love Sofia!  I still really love Nash! I love the Storm MC.
Illusive also continues the back story of the struggles of the Storm MC (post-Marcus Who I always hated and probably will never change my mind), and new issues that arise with trying to get the MC back in line.
ILLUSIVE, just like all of Nina Levine's books, hooks you right from the start where you can't stop reading the story until it's done, but then when you do finish the story you're  left wanting to go back into that world because you fell in love with every character in the story and don't want to part from them. The stories she writes makes you feel like you are right there with all of the characters. A must read series! Addicting!

Favorite Quotes:

“I had to concentrate hard to keep my eyes on the road. This man and that body could singlehandedly cause traffic to halt.”

“There’s only so much sexy a woman can handle, Griff, and I’m almost at my limit, because let me tell you, just standing next to you is hard work sometimes, so you can only imagine how hard it is to have flirting from your sexy mouth thrown in to the mix.”

“Hate is a double-edged sword, baby. Sometimes it’s all you’ve go and all you’re capable of feeling. Sometimes it gets you through when nothing else can.”

“If this was heaven, I’d be a good girl for the rest of my life.”

“The past is part of us, part of our story, but it doesn’t have to be who we are today, and it doesn’t mean our story won’t get better.”

My Review:

I have a new BBF and his name is Griff, swoon. I am enamored with this sexy and passionate couple in Nina Levine’s latest in the Storm MC series. I love her quirky characters and Sophia is now my all-time favorite sassy gal. I love how she banters with Griff and rambles out her concerns and thoughts in a manner that just strips that distant and distrustful alpha male bare. She disarms him with her honesty and vulnerability, and plants her flag in his heart without game playing or feminine wiles, and his hardened walls collapse. I loved that their story is not the constant push and pull of conflict with or against their relationship; but in supporting, building up, nurturing, accepting, and adoring each other. I always enjoy Ms. Levine’s use of a dual POV narrative, and she expertly builds the story as she weaves us through their memories, fears, dreams, and present concerns in an insightful, and skillful manner. I would never tire of this pair and hope to see more of them in the future.
