Prior to Insanity, I worked out about 4-5 times a week at the gym (mix of cardio/pilates/yoga), but saw the intensity of my cardio workouts decline as my life (aka work) got busy, definitely wasn't as lean as I wanted to be (and fat to mass ratio was starting to increase).

When I first tried insanity at one of my friend's place, I was totally out of breathe which surprised me since I thought I was in pretty decent shape. So after two workouts, I was sold, I needed to get it - i thought this would be a good 60 day program to do to change up my gym routine.

I'm on day 27 - and definitely have seen results (I'm leaner and more toned). I'll be honest, I don't follow the diet consistently or track my calories but have paid more attention to my diet and do allow for a couple cheat nights a week :) My goal is not for massive weight loss - I started at 127 lbs i'm down 5 lbs but am definitely toner. I've loss inches around my waist and my chest and am definitely stronger.

Definitely recommend this if you're looking for weight loss/toning!

So far it has only been 4 weeks, i did not weigh myself prior nor do i plan on weighing myself, reason being is because i like to go by what i look like in the mirror, that being said, I feel like I've lost a substantial amount of weight i certainly look and feel like it
I've been following a strict diet plan which has forced my weight/fat loss goals to an all time high, I have tried only ONE of the Max workouts that this kit comes with as i start doing the max workouts full time starting in a few days, and boy oh boy.. i was not expecting a @** kicker for a workout my whole body was on fire my lungs were on fire but i loved every minute of it, overall i rate this 10/10

Now for one tiny con( For others with any kind of knee injury, not myself) these workouts to a lot of movement and if you have any sort of injury prior or a new injury, avoid this until fully healed, especially any type of knee injury, my friend has been doing these workouts with me and he injured his knee a little bit so he is sidelined for a week or two, just be careful do the movements correctly take your time, and you to will see results.
look forward to updating in 4 more weeks!!

After having seen adverts for this product for over a year, this summer I finally decided to order it for myself. What prompted me was the gentle mockery of my relatives when they met me again for the first time in years: "Well, life has certainly been treating you well! Maybe a little too well, judging by the size of your gut!" Looking in the mirror at my expanding pot belly and my bulging muffin-top sides, I knew I had let myself slip for too long. I decided it was time to get serious about my fitness and health.

Insanity comes with 2 months worth of detailed workouts, a calendar to help you stay on track with your workouts, and a handbook containing detailed meal plans and dietary advice. The thoroughness with which Beachbody had prepared this programme made me realise that I had made the right purchase.

I was determined to get the most out of this programme, and since my workday starts quite early at 7.30, during the first month of the programme I scheduled my workouts for 4.30 a.m. These early a.m. workouts prompted me to be a lot more careful about my night time eating and my sleeping habits. The programme asks you to workout 6 days a-week; Initially, I was a bit worried that this would be too punishing for my 53-year-old body. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that after a fairly rough first week I started to get used to the workouts - even though from day 1 to day 63 each workout left me drenched. There would be three days of heavy workouts and then a recovery day - in which the programme scheduled lighter routines and lots more stretching. These recovery days and the one day of rest really allowed my body to adjust. There were also fitness tests scheduled every 2 weeks so that I could gauge my improvement.

This workout lives up it's name. Very well designed. Mix of cardio, plyometrics, etc. Lots of core work. It pushes you hard and it's a great feeling of accomplishment when you're done. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic product, only three weeks in and noticing an incredible difference. I figured I would get into doing the program to tone up a little as I was quite comfortable in my body, 5'8, slim, fluctuated between 120-125lbs, non athletic. I have noticed muscles in places I didn't realize and when I hurt my ankle as a result of an incident at work I took three days off..for a person who has never had much motivation and drive to do any exercise I was amazed to find that I missed doing the insanity program. Waking up at 6am and gettting it done to start my day was great, so much more productive than sleeping in til 8:30! Can't wait to see what I look like in the end 60 days!

This is not a beginner workout. If you are not a fitness addict I recommend that you start slow.

I am 50 years old and have worked out since I was 20. I don't consider myself a fitness addict. Before starting this workout I went to the gym about twice week for the treadmill and weights. I also do a 90 min intensive yoga class once a week.

When I was diagnosed pre diabetic, I had to increase my workouts and lose 15 lbs. I lost the weight but my cholesterol still needed attention. I figure that if I could get back to my normal weight the cholesterol would fall back into line. The doctor said I just needed to increase my good cholesterol which means more cardio. Losing 15 pounds was a lot of work. I couldn't maintain that for another 6 months. So the insanity workout is a lifesaver. I only need to set aside one hour or less a day rather than the 2 hours for the gym.

I have been doing the workout almost 5 months. I don't follow the recommended schedule. The 10 discs offer a lot of variety. For the first two months I focussed on the three basic workouts - cardio, plyo, and power - and have now mixed and matched with the other workouts. I try to do 3 or 4 workouts a week. I should also mention that I modified the workouts at the beginning turning many of the jumps into low impact versions and worked out at a much lower speed. The first time that I did a full workout I maintained the speed with a bit of effort but was nauseous for hours when I was done. So be careful - I didn't realize that my heart rate had gone too high.

The workouts are addictive. It doesn't take long for people to notice that you have gotten toner. I have dropped another dress size but haven't lost any more weight. I expect that will come in the next few months when my new muscles start to burn more fuel.

Insanity is intense but lots of fun. My daughter just started it a couple of weeks ago and loves it. Try it. It is well worth the money.
