Guess this item had been a return (or warehouse) because I got it for like 63$, although with the convenience, versatility and ease of this item it feels like I might have robbed someone... where is the Fry "take my money" meme when you need it? I would have gladly paid full price knowing what I know now... Speaking of fries, such golden crunchy amazingness and much healthier than smothered in oil. Here I was thinking my toaster oven and hotplate the perfect kitchen equipment when this thing does it all. Highly Suggested for the big family and tired parent who really does not wanna cook after a long day of doing it all.

Right out of the box, this product was easy to use. There is no recipe guide with this attachment, so if you have no experience with an air fryer, watch a few videos and video recipe guides on how to properly load the food, as well as correct temperature guides. This can make enough food for 3 people, in one shot, or 2 loads for larger amounts. The only complaint is that Instant Pot did not really think through lifting out the basket or the insert which gives you additional cooking space. There are no lifters, or fitted tongs to lift up the basket, and it is awkward to use oven mitts or gloves, so caution has to be taken when lifting out food. Clean up is easy due to the non stick surface. This unit runs much more quietly than a traditional air fryer, and, because it is essentially just a lid for a product you already have, takes up no additional counter space, making it an excellent purchase if you do not have the counter room for an air fryer. Definitely worth the money!!

Very pleased with the results of everything I have tried in it so far. Easy to use, very quiet operation and easy to clean! Love my instant pot and love that it is now much more versatile with the air fryer lid. Although the lid is big, it does take up less space than an air fryer appliance, that's also a plus in my kitchen.

This attachment works great but in a 6 quart instant pot the whole thing is too small over all. You just can't do a lot of food at one time in it and I find I'm not using it as much as I expected I would because of this. The little insert that comes with it to give you a second layer doesn't fit well and is constantly dropping off the notches which means the second layer of food is resting on top of the first layer; the food doesn't cook well as a result because the air can't circulate between the layers. Once it's dropped down it is also really difficult to pick up and remove when it's covered with hot food. I bought this to see if I liked and would use an air fryer. Turns out I do and I will eventually buy an actual air fryer that holds more food; until then I do use this. A big plus is in a kitchen with limited counter space being able to use my instant pot as an air fryer as well is pretty cool and the tray they provide to set it on to protect your counters from the hot lid works great and protects the heating element while the device is in storage. I especially like making apple pie spring rolls in it; so easy and a simple great tasting dessert and making pork chops in it for two they turn out amazingly moist with nice crunchy breading.

I checked out this Instant Pot Air Fryer lid on youtube and saw some side by side comparisons to stand alone air fryers, and they proved to be true! Very good results using the air fryer, very easy to use, and quite easy to clean up. Tip: I've seen some people complain that the basket insert's coating is coming off...I think you just need to use non-scratch dishcloths or scrubs as I've had no problem with this at all. Also, though I bought this primarily for the air fryer and also the dehydrator option, I've already used it to broil some food and the results are great! It is much faster than using my convection oven, too. All in all, a great product, and a great price, considering the cost of even just a stand alone air fryer!

I ordered this thinking it would just be an extra lid to store rather than another whole appliance.WRONG the lid is the size of Darth Vader’s Helmet and comes with a basket and tray. It’s awkward to store.

The basket comes with a divider that makes it difficult to turn food without getting burned. And you have to cook in batches if you’re cooking for more than two.

It does it’s job really well and food tastes great the top side crisps faster than the bottom.

I will likely purchase a real one with a large, more convenient bottom loading basket.
If you’re buying this thinking it’s a space saver DON’T.

If you’re not a tall person with long arms you will absolutely burn yourself unless you buy really long tongs and figure out how to easily remove that super hot divider tray. (They should have made a clip/handle)

Overview

I use this primarily for browning/crisping something I have cooked in the instant pot pressure cooker...but I also use it as the sole appliance for more tender meats like salmon and boneless chicken thighs.

That said...if all I ever used it for was pork belly...it would be with its' weigh in gold ! :) I cook the pork belly under pressure...then switch to the air fryer to make it crispy...and render down more of the fat. It comes out perfect.

I have tried the BBQ...but it's takes a long time, uses a lot of propane...and is prone to flair ups (OK...small fires)

I have tried pan frying in a cast iron skillet...and the oil splatter is out of control.

I have tried oven broiling... and without fail it will trigger the smoke alarms...

...the Instant Pot followed by Air Fryer is the prefect solution.

Even when I use the BBQ for the main dish...I use the air fryer for a side (crispy potato wedges, air fried veggie batons with a bit of breading etc)

Very happy with the purchase.

I didn't really know what to expect, I had never used an air fryer at all much less the add-on version, but I am an Instant Pot fanatic and just had to have this. I found a used one on here that was a good deal and decided to go for it. When it arrived the box was kind of beat up so I was nervous that the unit might be broken but it worked fine. I was also worried it would be too complicated to use and turns out I was overthinking it. One of the things I wasn't aware of was that the air fryer lid doesn't twist on like the normal lid does, it's supposed to just sit there, plus there is at least with mine a slight gap between the lid and the IP. I thought this might have meant it was defective but did a little research and found out that this is normal. Anyhoo, I did a side by side test with homemade chicken strips. Turns out the air fryer ones turned out tastier. I did, admittedly, fry the fried ones a minute too long so they were slightly overcooked, but the air fryer ones turned out great. Crispy, as advertised, and lighter in color. The flavor was as good as fried, even when I fried them perfectly, and lower in fat. Also, the air fryer lid was so quiet I was still not sure it was working properly, until I at the results. Now I am confirmed that the unit works just fine and I will add it to my cooking arsenal. I do kind of wonder why a person would use this in lieu of just using and oven, but I think the idea is this gets things crispier due to the way the air fryer uses a strong fan to circulate the hot air that a conventional oven doesn't do. I would recommend this for people who are very tight on space in their kitchen or for RV people who might not have access to propane but have shore power available. Between the regular Instant Pot feature set plus the air fryer attachment, one practically has an entire kitchen in a pot!

Mi esposa y yo hemos hecho boneless alitas carne de hamburguesa de grosor grande y todo lo hizo excelente... PERO las papas a la francesa si jamás el sabor de una air fryer de cualquier marca va ser igual a las de la de aceite, una porque no le puedes hechar sal como al aceite y dos porque PS el aceite las cambia obviamente.... Pero fuera de cosas las hizo bastante bien, a mi en lo personal me gustan crujientes doradas y lo que hice fue ponerlas un poco más de tiempo como fryer y luego al final use roast.... Las papas como que se inflaron como si fueran burbujas de tortillas de harina, no sé cómo explicarlo exactamente, no sé si fue porque intencionalmente puse papás semi delgadas precisamente para que ese crunch so existiera, en efecto casi todas las papas hicieron ese crunch. Y yo en lo personal antes de el roast antes de los últimos 5 minutos les.puse tantito aceite en aerosol nada más para que ese color bronceado existiera... No sé si eso fue lo que las semi infló pero quedaron bastante bastante bien... Yo soy muy pero muy fan de todo lo relacionado con papas y de lo frito, esta opción me pareció bastante bien para cuidar la salud, francamente enamorado del producto si lo recomiendo.
