I've used it 3 times in oven. It has taken twice as long to cook. The silicone actually seems to insulate. I find removing the ring a bit tricky when hot because a bit tight when trying to remove clasp. Made excellent cake and I like the glass as serving platter.
The trick to getting it closed back up tightly without a gap is to tug I silicone slightly as you "roll" it back onto glass plate and then edges meet snuggly when you put clasp back on.
I know it's meant for instant pot and I'm sure probably would work better there.

Makes a beautiful cheesecake
As others mentioned, this results in a cheesecake with a smooth, even edge and the steaming makes for a very creamy dessert. I love the glass bottom because it is easy to remove the crust without breaking, it imparts no taste to the food and it looks ok on a fancy plate... all better than the metal bases. It is a little fiddly to put together and I worried about wearing it out. However, after 5 uses it is just fine and weathered the dishwasher as well. In the pic you can see how clean the glass is after one cut... will just have to learn to make my base crust more even! :-) I got the recipe from Youtube "Instant Pot Cheesecake ~ 1st Place Winner !!!" Amazing... but note that a pinch of salt is a lot less than is shown in the video.

I liked the fact it is silicon (vs any aluminum product). The silicon removes easily from the glass base and it all cleans up very well. I had been waiting on this item to fix a lasagna recipe in my 6 qt Instant Pot. It fit perfectly and turned out amazing!
