Product Description

Katie's life changes dramatically only a few months before her planned wedding. With the wedding cancelled, an unexpected opportunity to do some research on the picturesque Isle of Man seems the perfect escape. She can get away from all the sympathetic looks and gossipy remarks and focus on her career while nursing her broken heart.

Finlo Quayle is the gorgeous owner of the island's only charter airline. William Corlett is the intelligent and sexy man who runs the Institute that is funding Katie's research. Katie finds herself being fought over by two very different men, both of whom attract her in very different ways.

Now the only thing Katie is sure of is that she isn't going to let a ghost make any decisions about her love life for her.

I read this book without reading a synopsis & found myself surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Such an easy going book that I found I read it in a day. When I got to about 80% I was glued & really wanted to see how it ended!!!
With a little history & archaeology thrown in I found this book to be a very enjoyable read:)
I received this from author in return for an honest review.

HASH(0xa64c7f6c) out of 5 stars Good Easy Read June 13 2013
By Obsession Is A Book - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I was gifted a copy of this book by the Author for an honest review.
I must say this is not my typical read but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The book is set on the Isle of Mann and provides a bit of history into the Island. I didn't realise how steeped in history the little Isle is. The descripted writing in this book is really good and you can visualise the scenes as you are reading
This is a story of self-discovery and self-belief. Katie is an American historian given the opportunity of a life time to go and research for 3 months on the Isle of Mann. The opportunity comes at a good time for Katie as her 10 year relationship has just failed.
Katie finds herself on the Island, guarding her battered heart and having 2 men vying for her attention.
This is a good, easy read.

HASH(0xa64ca258) out of 5 stars Could've been so much better June 22 2014

This is a new author for me and I liked the concept of the book. Our h is recovering from a failed engagement and accepts work on the Isle of Man. She is a historian and is going to work on a project there for 3 months after applying for and receiving a grant. She meets 2 different men, who are cousins. One is the owner of a small airline, rich and handsome and the other is also attractive and is the head of the institute where she is working. It really was a great premise but the author was way too heavy handed and made it fairly obvious who was the 'winner' from the beginning. The ex-fiancé also shows up for a bit of additional drama. I didn't love the h very much to be honest.

The author did a good job of describing a new setting for me and I'm going to read the next in the series.

HASH(0xa64ca210) out of 5 stars An "escape" to happiness!! July 12 2014
By Elaine Bertolotti author of Florence and Me - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Interesting insights into the legendary Isle of Man , a place I had heard of but never knew much about-
The story's heroine arrives from the USA, to do an historical research on the island for a period of three months. There she unexpectedly finds two attractive men who try to court her. Since she has just broken up with her boyfriend and canceled their wedding, she wasn't very interested in having a new romantic relationship with anyone. Fate however, stepped in...
I enjoyed this book and found it to be easy summer reading!

HASH(0xa64b6348) out of 5 stars Love the Isle of Man series Aug. 13 2014

I read the Aunt Bessie books & decided to give this one a try. The story is wonderful, not the bodice tearing romances just a great story. My only reason for the 3 star is the editing or lack of. There are several words left out or used in the wrong context, which does drive some of us nuts. I did not notice this in the Aunt Bessie series as much so the writing has improved since thus first book. Will be starting the 2nd Isle book next.
