I will continue to buy every single one of Gail's books, as long as she keeps writing them! Gail wrote this book to focus on women in finances. As she indicates in the books, she has noticed in todays modern post-feminist world, many women still choose to remain oblivious or not involved in their financial situation. They either keep the wool over their eyes by allowing their husbands/boyfriends to take care of the finances or they choose to not educate themselves and remain ignorant. Gail stresses throughout the book that regardless of what situation you are currently in, you need to be in a situation that you can care for yourself in the future. Gail stresses the importance of knowing exactly what your finances are( i.e.: income coming int, monthly expanses etc) and knowing what you owe and what your assets are. Gail spends many chapters focusing on preparing for retirement. Although I am in my 30s, its nice to here her explain how I can start preparing for it and how exactly I can go about doing it. Gail definitely tells it as she sees it( she doesn't sugarcoat anything) but you can tell with her "no nonsense" attitude that she genuinely wants to help people. She even recommend people checkout her books at the local library if they can't afford them

Action steps are incredible and fool proof. LOVE you Gail. Not all plans are created equal, and the plans in this book out-do ANY other advice that has been put out there. Placing higher value on net worth and assets is a huge lesson I personally have learned.
