Turning Smart Girls Golden

Because your finances are your finances, It's Your Money, Honey encourages women of all ages to take a greater interest—and play a greater role—in those financial issues that affect their everyday lives and financial futures. Conversational, irreverent, and intelligent, this guide to wealth creation, wealth management, and financial protection provides the advice that smart women today need to know to take charge of their finances and family legacies.

Organized by the events that shape our financial and emotional lives—including marriage, raising children, divorce, and retirement—It's Your Money, Honey is packed with expert information in the no-nonsense style of a girlfriend who's got her financial stars aligned and is happy to share her secrets.

Money Honey...

understands that women are looking for a fresh approach to finance, one that will act as a catalyst for change in their busy lives;

believes that the basics of personal finance and investing are not gender specific, though effective ways to communicate these principles definitely are;

is accessible, designed to be read whenever you find yourself with a spare moment, providing important information in bite-sized chunks;

will empower you to prepare for major life events with the help of real-life stories, helpful checklists, and easy-to-apply Golden Rules.

Born of the idea that too many smart women ignore their finances, sweep them under the rug, or allow them to be dictated by others, It's Your Money, Honey makes personal finance engaging, compelling, and relevant for women. It's everything you need to know about money—but were just too darn busy to ask!

I just finished reading "It's Your Money Honey" and I found it very entertaining and informative. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered two more books to give to my girlfriends as I feel all women should read this book. No matter what age you are in life, there is something for everyone in this wonderful book. Sure hope they write a sequel.

I'm the co-author of "It Takes Money, Honey," a guide to smart money management for women written 15 years ago with Georgette Mosbacher. There's plenty to say on this topic, but try starting with an original title. (I was unable to delete the "satisfied reader" description but would have if I could have.)

5.0 out of 5 stars My daughter Sept. 5 2013
By Teresa Butler - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I purchased this book for my daughter. I will say I was a good buy since she has not ask to borrow any money since she read it. She said she read it cover to cover in a matter of a few days. She does talk more about ways to say money and what she won't spend her money on. I will have to give this five stars 1 because the book was delivered at record speed 2 because I allowed me to stop preaching invest and save and for her to start practicing invest and save.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was okay!! June 19 2014
By Aleshia Brown - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I would not necessarily refer to this book for most of the stages in my life. It didn't reflect most of the questions I have about the money in my world.
