This book is a great way to sink your teeth into JavaScript. Hands-on and easy to understand practical examples. A few typing errors and some presentation faults but not enough to be distracting. If you're looking for a shallow dive into JavaScript to test the water, then this book is for you.

The book doesn't tell you how to run or test your code. Browsers and editors are referenced but no reference to guide you through code execution.

This is a very well written book. One of the main issues with programming books now days is that if you don't already have a background in that language they tend to be hard to understand. This book thankfully fixed that problem and is easy to understand even for those who have never programmed with JavaScript.
