An excellent character driven suspense tale that holds up perfectly with age. First time this author has seen it in its entirety. Strange however that Spielberg let so much of the shark show, when at those particular times the special effects are a weak point. Weak, but not ruinous.

Robert Shaw deserved an Academy Award for his portrayal here.

It's a great movie, a well known classic that you can enjoy many times. The film is worth owning and I won't waste any more time on the film itself. I've owned the DVD and can say the Blu-Ray simply looks fantastic by comparison. Clearer, cleaner, crisper, better colours, etc. The film received a proper remastering. Bu-Ray is the one to buy. Enjoy!

They were awful. The dvd said zone 2 which I did not know what that was. It is called region 2 to state a region for a country to play the dvd. They refused my money back and then sent me a link to download a program to play the dvd on my computer but the download gave me a virus. They still said too bad and refused my money back. I will never buy anything from them again as it was not clear to those who don't understand what a region code is, there is NO WARNING and no explanation to what that means.
Beware!!! If you buy something from them that is NOT NEW, make sure that you read everything as they do NOT CARE AT ALL. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
This is also the second review that I have posted as I have noticed my first one was deleted.

I am not going to discuss the film, as many other have covered it. The Blu transfer looks and sounds great, but if you are buying the film with the intention of getting benefit of the digital copy, be aware of the following when using the code through iTunes Canada :

HD - 4.51GB, iTunes Extra 1.76GB
Code until - 30 April 2015

What an amazing picture along with superb sound effects with the new Blu-ray version. Simply irresistible to not watch 2,3 or 4 times with such a great movie. Excellent packaging makes for a collectors item as well. So this version is a must have.

I love this movie and its a must have for my collection. The music still gets me nervous and the scene where the fisherman's head pops out of the boat still makes me scream lol . I get a kick out of the people and the clothes from this time period. Did anyone else notice how old the parents of young children looked? It makes me laugh.

I generally feel like older movies don't transfer well to Blu-ray. But with Jaws, I was pleasantly surprised at how clear the picture was. While the scenery and fashions do date the film, the picture quality is quite good.
Also, the bonus features, including a 2 hour making-of documentary are very well done. Even if you are someone who doesn't generally watch bonus features, you will find this documentary very interesting and well-paced.

This is a fantastic Blu Ray - it was great to watch this movie with no surprises... other than seeing a transfer whose colour and contrast was better than I've seen before. There are no digital "enhancements" or additional scenes, or anything else that would detract from such a perfect film.
