Maxine Daniels was made an offer that she couldn’t refuse. She couldn’t think of a better time—after breaking things off with her fiancé—to change cities and merge her company with Saunders Literary Agency. At thirty-three, she isn’t getting any younger, so it’s time to start fresh and leave her past behind.
What she doesn’t anticipate is the diversion that lies ahead. Kyle Saunders is a catastrophic tsunami that enters her life and consumes her world in just a matter of minutes. Everything about him is telling her no, but her heart and the heat between her legs is screaming yes. He was never a factor in her divine plan—nor was she in his.
Kyle is the cliché bachelor; he is a twenty-four-year-old charismatic chick magnet who refuses to settle down. He’s dead set on living the carefree single life—that is—until Max comes strolling in. Then all his ridiculous rules fall to the wayside. Who knew that just one hello could alter their lives forever?

About the Author

Shevaun DeLucia, author of the Eternal Mixture series, lives in upstate New York with her husband, four children, and two dogs. As a stay-at-home mom while her children were young, she fell in love with reading. She indulged in the small moments that took her away from the reality of her loud, rambunctious household, bringing her into a world of fantasy. When reading wasn’t enough to satisfy her, she turned to writing, determined to create the perfect ending of her own.

HASH(0xa2637918) out of 5 stars Nice office romance!!! Aug. 5 2015
By NWA Gossip Girl - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Received this book in exchange for an honest review!

This is the first book I've read by Shevaun, I appreciate her reaching out to me to review her book! When you first meet Maxine, she's getting out of relationship where she felt suffocated. She's ready to start over in a new place. I really liked Maxine, she has her head on straight and knows what she wants. She's a great example of what happens when you work hard and pursue your dreams. She has some baggage as most people do, but Max is a no nonsense women and won't let anyone or anything distract her. That is until she meets Kyle! Kyle is a ladies man, having fun, as he should. He's young, has a great job working at his parents agency and working his way up! Kyle is not your typical rich kid, he doesn't use the fact that his parents own the company he works for as an excuse to slack off. Shevaun takes readers on a very detailed outline of Max and Kyle's relationship which I really liked. I always say, I love it when authors take the time to set the stage for characters romance, it makes it easier for readers to get to know the characters and feel connected to them. Maxine and Kyle feel an instant attraction to each other. The more they keep away from each other, the more the attraction grows. What originally begins as lust, turns into something more organic. Max and Kyle have a lot to lose, their careers for one, and their hearts. As I was reading I wanted both of them to throw their inhibitions out the window. Their lust was so explosive and a little bit of forbidden, since Max is kind of his boss, and she's older. They learn that assumptions mean nothing when it comes to the heart. Max thinks that Kyle can't be serious about relationships because he's young, I felt like she used his age as an excuse, but Kyle surprises her in ways she didn't imagine. I really liked how mature Kyle was, yes, he's a bachelor, but he really knows what he wants. He owns up to his mistakes and doesn't get into a habit of making them again and again. The story does get a little rushed towards the end as Max and Kyle's relationship goes in a direction that I did not see coming! It was a great surprise and I was so happy in the end.

All in all, Jayded was a fun read! Readers will get caught up with Max, Kyle, the drama, the good times and bad. I found myself interested in two of the secondary characters Jeff and Elise, I hoping their story is next!

I gave Jayded 3.5 ⭐️

HASH(0xa263796c) out of 5 stars These two characters just clicked so easily that they formed a special bond with one another June 26 2015
By Catherine De Los Santos - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This was definitely an interesting read with lust at first sight and quite a bit of steamy scenes. These two characters just clicked so easily that they formed a special bond with one another. The author did a good job of showing this relationship growing from their first meeting until the very end of the book.

We meet Maxine who is out to discover a new life, not happy with the one she was living. She’s very much a go getter and out to succeed in life, work is her life. So of course its convenient when she goes for a new job and finds someone from the office, a hot young someone named Kyle, who also happens to be the son of the owners who are about to be her partners. No, that does not promise any kind of drama at all … not! I think their main difference is their age, she’s much older than he is, but like the old saying goes ‘Age ain’t nothing but a number’.

You can definitely spot the differences though because Kyle reminded me of a stereotypical Bachelor from the city with an accent and a crassness that I reserve for my Jersey and New York boys, I know you know what I’m talking about. ‘How you doin?’ Anyway even with all of that he begins to grow on me, a softer side is shown as his feelings begin to develop for Maxine without him even realizing it.

I also really love the side story of his best friend, who is just like him but then begins to catch feelings for the quiet Elise, it’s cute. And let's not even get started on Maxine's assistant Kinsley who is a firecracker of a friend who goes straight to the point. She is entertainment all by herself. I can see a book all about her but the question is who would be the mystery guy because she doesn't seem to catch anyones eye or interest, hmmm makes you wonder. All the characters were great and I could only imagine what it's like working at their company. Although I could probably do without the stalker, you'll see who I'm talking about super creepy and delusional.

Overall it was a great read with a story line that is relate able and will keep you occupied from beginning to the very end, with lots of great saucy scenes in between. The ending will definitely keep you wondering where will the story take you. There's so many ways the story can continue but I hope to get a chance to read more about these characters.
HASH(0xa2637da4) out of 5 stars Can a business merger spark a office romance? Nov. 25 2015
By Maranda - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Kyle Saunders is nothing more than a playboy. He is 24 years old and in his prime. Well, in walks Maxine "Max" Daniels. A 33 year old business woman. She is getting away from her South Carolina roots and sparks begin to fly between her & Kyle. They decide to have the friends with benefits relationship since they work together. Can this lead to more? Will it get messy? Not to mention they both have "stalkers" following them around. Only time will tell in this "complicated" but "hopeful" love story called "Jayded."

From the beginning I really bonded with Max. She knew exactly what she wanted and built her business from the ground up. A merger with a larger company was a great opportunity. Plus, she gets to move to Rochester, New York. A long ways away from her South Carolina upbringing. Max has secrets as all women do. Things she isn't willing to let anyone in to see. That is until she meets Kyle. Things she begins to tell come a little more easy for her as time passes between them. But, she has a big issue with his age. Will Max let Kyle's age hinder her happiness or will she say the (H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS) with it?

Kyle is always out to prove himself to his Dad & older brother Junior. Kyle's mom sees how hard he works but the other family members think of him as a screw up. Doesn't matter that he graduated with a Bachelors & went on for a Masters Degree. He will always be a "self entitled" kid to Dad and a "spoiled brat" to big brother. Junior has his issues with Kyle and is always butting his nose in where is doesn't belong. His dad seems to always feel the need to micromanage everything. I kind of giggled at some of the conversations or squabbles they got into. LOL Kyle doesn't care about age when it comes to Max. What he wants is her honesty & why she runs away from things. Can she tell the truth or risk losing him forever?

Kinsey is Max's assistant and old college roommate. This girl I get a complete kick out of. She reminds me of a older version of Kinsey from Lost Girl. She is as straight laced as they come and has no problem tearing people a new ***hole. She would do anything for Max.

Jayded by Shevaun DeLucia

Twenty-four year old bachelor, Kyle Saunders, was living the good life. Unattached, having fun, and looking for the next notch in his bedpost. He had no interest in relationships, settling down, or anything other than a good time...until he met her.

Maxine Daniels fled to New York in hopes of partnering with the Saunders Literary Agency. She is career-focused, independent, and a bit commitment-phobic, not to mention nine years older than Kyle is.

From the moment they’re introduced, neither can deny the chemistry that flows between them. Though they try to fight it, it’s a force to be reckoned with. What’s the harm in a little “friends with benefits” gig? Nothing, until lines begin to blur, emotions enter into the equation, and both are forced to examine what it is they have, and what they want it to be.

Am I already too attached? This is my own doing...Lines get blurred when you spend so much time together. The black and white becomes gray...Things get way too complicated. I feel we’re getting too complicated.

I was so set on living the bachelor life that I never saw this coming. I never saw her coming.

Should they follow their hearts and not worry about the fact that Max is making a deal with his parents? Or about the age difference? What about the reasons Max fled, and the emotional baggage she’s carrying with her? Can Kyle and Max change everything they ever thought they knew about what they wanted out of relationships in their lives? Or do they want to?

Jayded by Shevaun DeLucia was a quick, fun summer read, and I’d give it 4 stars.

HASH(0xa5b0f264) out of 5 stars Boom Explosive! Aug. 27 2015

When you read the definition of the title, then you read the book, you know that the Author nailed the HELL out of it.
Now, I need some substance to go along with panty wetting scenes and DeLucia doesn't hesitate to provide it.
It was a story I didn't want to put down. I had a hard time functioning in the real world until I finished.
First of all, I was glad that the names weren't common that makes it more memorable.
Not to mention Maxine is my middle name.
Brownie points!!!
Seriously though, I felt like the attraction between Kyle and Max was captured very well. The Angst built up perfectly to their explosive ignition. They both tried to fight it and hide it, but it was no use! The inner conversations that they have, had me rollin!
Throw in a little family drama and it's a magnificent masterpiece!
I enjoyed every minute.
The supporting characters made it POP!!!
Junior with his Resentment,
Beth's Crazy Ask,
Jeff's smart mouth,
Elsie's innocent persona <---(I can't wait to see her come out of her shell),
and Kinsey's with her bad self!
It turned out to be Fawesome and I can't wait to read the next one.
I'm hoping Junior and Kinsey hook up!!! Just Sayin...
