"The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do" - Steve Jobs

Legends create history everyday. The status of being a legend is reserved for the chosen few who believe they are destined for greatness.

Achieving success is your ability to eliminate the weaknesses and biases that are inherent within yourself. History tells us that not all greats have off-the-chart IQs, nor are they born with limitless freedom. In fact, it is this triumph over less than favorable circumstances and their determination to achieve that we tend to respect the most. The people who have changed the world are people like you and I. They set out to achieve outstanding results and make their decisions within intellectual criteria. All the greats have engaged a higher impulse, a higher bandwidth, and an inherent strength. [Pg. 43, The Jetstream of Success]

Author, Julian Pencilliah, lives by five rules daily:

  • ·Believe with an extravagance
  • ·Think with a sophistication
  • ·Exceed probability amplitudes
  • ·Smile with Radiance
  • ·Get Lucky
The Jetstream of Success is a book filled with crystallized wisdom and intellectual processes that is meant to help the reader become more sophisticated in their thinking.

As powerful as the lessons are, they required context; a sense of connection with the reader. It is for this reason the author takes you on a journey across the world to live through his real life experiences to serve as analogies that unveil the potential within you.

The chapters are filled with entertainment that is delivered through the richest writing and locations around the world. Whether it's going face-to-face with a great white shark in the depths of the Atlantic, dancing the samba at the Rio Carnival or being on a game drive with Virgin billionaire Sir Richard Branson, every single chapter will keep you captivated and completely engrossed.

The Jetstream of Success has been written to help the reader to reinvent themselves more conducive to their goals. The book was not intended to be an easy read. In fact, it was designed to challenge the reader to take a leap of vision and piece together an ever-fuller understanding of themselves so they can redefine their lives and as a result, their futures.

"The book is based on the realization that the richest awakening of yourself will unveil life's deepest mysteries" -  Julian Pencilliah

HASH(0xa61b73d8) out of 5 stars Good for paradigm-shifting Jan. 16 2014
By Heather - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is not a guide for those on the fence when it comes to changing your life. You should already have made the choice to commit before picking up this book. Really that’s true of any guide/self-help book. It cannot help you if you aren’t looking for help. But this book especially so. Pencilliah won’t waste breath explaining to you why you have to change your paradigm and stick to it; he assumes you already know and that that’s why you picked up this book. It’s interesting to read a book like this that doesn’t spend valuable pages selling itself; it knows you’ve already bought it and gets right to work. There’s no 30-days-to-greatness plan here. It’s all about changing long-term views and actions to get a better result. If you’re looking for a quick fix, it’s not here. But it’s not really anywhere. You have to commit to long-standing change for things to get and stay better.

This book is full of powerful statements that are designed to catch your attention and stick in your memory. For an e-book, it’s a big risk to use graphics since it’s difficult to control how they look on every device. Even books from big publishing houses have design issues here. But the graphics for Jetstream are clean and well-placed and definitely serve their purpose. Every few pages the concepts shift with a quote as artwork. These quotes guide you and keep you oriented to the matter at hand. I found them to be an excellent though subtle touch that I haven’t seen in many self-published books.

It starts a bit on the vague side as Pencilliah works to explain the bigger ideas such as taking the reins. The early chapters use great examples drawn from his own life, but they could use a little more interactivity to keep the reader on the right path. And the diction could be cleaned up just a bit: there are so many multisyllabic words that the writing can be a little dense if you’re not already familiar with the concepts. It’s not difficult to read, but it could be a touch more user-friendly. As the book progresses into more concrete ideas, though, there is much more room for activities and checklists. I feel that any aide like this is best written with these exercises so people have a simple way to take action and track progress. It takes you through understanding that you have the power to shape your own life and aims at helping you find your own star potential. Pencilliah certainly takes on a big project here, but each chapter is organized and it is clear there was some serious planning behind this book.

No matter what area of your life you’re working on, you will likely find something helpful in this book. While it can be a quick read, you should plan to spend a good long while working through these concepts. While reading through it once will certainly give you a good understanding of Pencilliah’s approach, no self-help book is meant to be read once, quickly, and then shelved for good. To get from taking the reins to truly being the captain of your own life, it will take time and effort. This book offers a good path to follow and I recommend taking the suggestions here under serious consideration.

It isn’t a perfect book, but I think its value far outweighs the few issues I had. From a layout perspective, there are a few too many all-caps and bolded sentences for my liking. It’d be better to trust the writing to speak for itself. And I wouldn’t mind the real-life examples of Pencilliah’s being a little more detailed; when reading nonfiction I like to know as much about my guide as possible. I have no doubts about his credibility, but a richer background helps the reader connect with the author and want to follow his advice even more.

There is an entire section toward the end about decisions and the importance of decision-making. Every choice we make matters. Every choice starts a ripple effect. If you’re seriously considering making a change, you can choose to invest in this book. There are plenty out there, yes. And it’s hard to sort through them all. But you’ll see that Pencilliah will give you a great start down the path you’re trying to find. It’s all about making that proactive decision to give yourself a little more control over everything going on around you.

HASH(0xa61b7624) out of 5 stars Spiritual tour de force April 10 2014
By Maggie - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Julian Pencilliah’s new volume, The Jetstream of Success, is a spiritual tour de force and deserves the widest possible audience. Other readers will agree, I believe, that this effort merits five stars. A half century ago, Seth, a spirit guide, counseled psychic Jane Roberts that “you make your own reality.” Sadly, the ghostly sage offered no practical advice on how to do this. Julian picks up where Seth and Jane Roberts left off and teaches us how to surfboard across physical reality with focused and disciplined spiritual power. As he puts it, “life requires more than a whisper of wisdom,” but with divine wisdom reality becomes a “tapestry of magic.” The tools of practical success include compassion, love, and gratitude. Make gratitude lists daily and you will see that this is true. Daily diary entries also map out triumphs for the next day, week and month in the physical world. Again I have found this to be true. Julian also counsels us to retain a good sense of humor to summon creative spiritual energy, because wealth comes from a rich and happy mind. Sadness, agitation, and fear stand in the way of success. When you know who you are, the future lies in the palm of your hand. Julian shows how eternal love triumphs over death in his recounting of the story of the Taj Mahal. This book is beautifully written and beautifully illustrated, and it continues the proud tradition of sharing Indian wisdom with readers in the west.

HASH(0xa61b7864) out of 5 stars Very Inspiring April 7 2014

"It is living on the edge of possibility, living through a pulsation and a passion"- Words like this by Julian Pencilliah really inspire and motivate me to be better. Indeed, this is a self help book that pushes its readers to be more than they can be. The graphics of the quotations are excellent and really helps those words of wisdom to stick to your mind like a meditation line that you can say to yourself when you are faced with challenge. I also salute the author for the effort placed on proper formatting of the pictures so that it doesn't break off when read on tablets or mobile phones. All in all this is one book that I can read over and over again and never get tired from learning how to have a positive outlook in life.

If you have a friend that needs a boost in life, this book is a perfect gift

HASH(0xa61b7ae0) out of 5 stars Positive Book April 16 2014
By Caglevision - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I loved the sayings and quotes in this book. There were some that I have heard before and others that I have not heard of. That is rare for me because I read and write about a lot of positive thinking books and the information is usually the same. That is not the case with this book. This book is filled with quotes, antidotes and stories that will help move your life forward in a positive way. There are several analogies in the book that are really well chosen as the author makes his point known. Similar to proverbs the quotes and sayings can have you thinking and drawing your own conclusions. The book is well written and easy to understand. There is a lot to gain from this book. I highly recommend it!

HASH(0xa61b7dd4) out of 5 stars It’s a self-help book that uses personal moments from the author’s life to articulate strategies you can use to become a better July 15 2014

Just finished reading The Jetstream of Success by Julian Pencilliah and have to say I was really blown away by it. It’s a self-help book that uses personal moments from the author’s life to articulate strategies you can use to become a better version of yourself and ultimately live a more satisfying life. I have read a lot of self-help books and thought I knew everything that could be said but The Jetstream of Success is completely different. Instead of just offering the usual positive affirmations ‘that you can do it’ it examines behaviors and self-defeating mentalities most of us have and shows you a new ways at looking at yourself, the world and ultimately your life.
