The Joseph Joseph Wash and Drain is a great basic piece of kitchen equipment in a stylish, smart and thoughtful design. It has an integrated plug which means water can be quickly drained away, eliminating the problem of lifting and emptying a heavy bowl. The plug can also be set to strain the water for food particles, allowing them to be easily disposed of and helping to prevent sink blockages. Its steep sides help keep water and soapsuds safely inside and large carry handles mean it can be easily carried, if needed. I have a very large single apron front sink but most of the time, I don't need to fill the entire sink to wash a few dishes. This wash and drain tub is perfect; it fits into my large sink so that I can wash and rinse dishes at the same time, it's easy to drain and clean and it's very durable and sturdy. It's such a useful product that my four sisters have them and I bought one for my son, who also has a single sink. I would not hesitate to recommend this item.

If you have a small apartment kitchen, this thing is your new best friend. It's deep, it's useful. I just chuck all the dishes in it all day until after dinner. You can even fill it, put it on the counter and keep the sink free.

It's deep, it's sturdy, it's great quality.

I thought to myself, "How can I justify not just buying a cheap one from a dollar store?" I'm keeping this one until it dies a very painful death. Worth every penny.

PROS:
No more splashing all over the counter when emptying the dishpan. Just unscrew the plug and the water will drain directly out. Great too if your dexterity isn't all it could be.

Saves space mess. Stick it somewhere discreet and just chuck the dishes in as you go.

CONS:
Wish it came in more colours. I'd buy another one.

This little tub has a ton of applications around the house. The ability to drain it without picking it up is really useful - especially when its full. And the it seals perfectly - at least so far. Sturdy construction too. My only complaint is that the didn’t install rubberized feet so the tub slides on a wet countertop fairly easily which can cause the water to slosh over the sides (making it even wetter and more slippery)

Pros:
It doesn't flex when filled because it is strong plastic.
Has a drain in the bottom and doesn't leak.
A good size that fits in two sizes of sinks.

No idea how this showed up in my "things to look at" pile, and who pays $20 for a dishpan, right? Honestly, I scoffed.

A closer look revealed some interesting features that you don't find in a Big Box Store dishpan - the feet on the bottom keep it up off the sink bottom, eliminating the greasy, gunky stuff that builds up if you don't wash both sink and dishpan bottom every time; because it doesn't rest on the bottom of the sink, it doesn't stop the drain when full like my old one did; the drain in the bottom means no more lifting it to empty, which means no spilling or stress tears like the thin plastic versions; the handles make it easy to lift and move wherever you need it, whether empty or full; thicker plastic will surely mean it will last longer than the cheapo kind.

And I bought one. Yes, it's a bit smaller than the cheap version, but it's so much more sturdy and functional the size doesn't matter much. It fits just fine in my double sink (cheap rental stainless sink) and since I'm only doing dishes for one, it's big enough. The drain works perfectly so far, no leaks and it sure makes it easier to empty! It's stylish (mine is blue) practical and does it's job perfectly.

Yes, I paid $20 for a dishpan, and I'm glad I did :-)
