About the Author

Linda Ziedrich is a certified Master Food Preserver and Master Gardener who frequently teaches classes and performs demos on a range of preserving topics across the Pacific Northwest. She lives in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.

The Joy of Pickling seems to have a wonderful attitude behind it - healthy pickling. Apple cider vinegar is used instead of regular white vinegar and only the minimum amount of sugar is used when necessary.
The recipes are a good variety of traditional and international. The way pickling is presented in this book is the most thorough that I've seen.
I know that this year most of my recipes will come from this book.

Fabulous book loaded with mouth watering recipes, personal expieriences, a history lesson and much more !! Well written and easy to comprehend. A great addition to my canning library and to anyone else's who takes their pickles seriously. Bravo !!
