There's no controls to learn, no non-intuitive button presses or arrows to follow, no twitch buttons on a pad to try to remember and slip off of when you're mid song. You just hold the remote in one hand, and follow the character on the screen as if you're dancing in front of a mirror. It actually has half decent dance moves that are at least similar to the ones that some of us remember wishing we could do when that song was in its heyday, so if you got good, you could cut yourself a rug doing the same moves on the dance floor at your next wedding or stag and doe, if you're not too embarrassed. If you're planning to get this as a party game, there's a fairly wide variety of music to appeal to a large audience, and since it's so intuitive to play, young children and their great grandparents and everyone in between should be able to play with at least some success.
The not as stellar:
Just Dance was the first game of it's kind, Just dance kids, dance on broadway, Micheal Jackson: The Experience, and of course Just Dance 2 were all built on it's shoulders. Since this game has come out the technology has been tweaked and perfected further, so the scoring in this game is in comparison quite finicky, and not always as accurate as it is in later games. Not an issue for those just doing it for kicks, but those who would care about the score may find this frustrating.Read more ›
I am not a dancer... at all! But I am always looking for ways to exercise, so i thought why not, it's free. I put it into my Wii the next day. It was very easy to operate. At first i wanted to see what songs and moves are on the game, so i did a lot of short dances in a row. I was very ackward at first, but had fun. The more I did, the better i got. My 4 year old came in and thought it was a fun game, so he did a few dances. I definately developed some sweat while dancing and felt good to be able to move around.
I do wish is that they had more recent dance songs on there.
Next step it to get my husband and my older son to do this. I can imagine the laughter that will come out of it :)

It's good, has a lot of good songs to dance to. Great work out for anyone who prefers to do this than go to the gym.Published 22 months ago by Melanie Jodoin
