JUST A LITTLE JUNK ...

.... if anyone asks, that's all that's in your trunk. Definitely don't say anything about the dead guy you just found back there!

Jodi Morgan is having a bad weekend.

After partying a little too hard, she wakes up with a monster hangover and almost no recollection of the night before. So imagine her surprise when she looks in her trunk and instead of finding a spare tire, she finds the last guy she'd danced with before blacking out.

Who is he? How did he get in there? How did he die? And oh dear lord, did she kill him!?

When her older brother's best friend offers to help, things start looking up. They've known each other since she was thirteen, and ten years later, he still treats her like a little kid - surely, committing felonies has to trigger some sort of spark. Together, they wind up going on an adventure that takes them all over Los Angeles. From raves to penthouses to strip clubs. All in the search for the answer to her question.

Who is the dead guy in my trunk!?

Title: Just A Little Junk
Author: Stylo Fantome

5 amazing stars

I don't think i've laughed as much as i did with just a little junk when it comes to Stylo Fantome's books. It was a mix of arrogance, snark, sarcasm and a whole lot of freaking out from Jo and Archer when she opens the trunk of her car the morning after she went out with her friends, getting deliriously drunk. Trying to retrace their steps to find out what actually happened, these two had me captivated and in stitches. Seriously, who could resist these two when they're as uncoordinated as the next person?

4 breath taking dreams

Even with those elements that i've come to associate with Stylo Fantome - suspense, sexual tension, snarky and bright characters, Just A Little Junk was completely different from any of her preivous release. Is it a romantic comedy? Romantic suspense? Erotic suspense? It just might be a little of everything as we follow Jo and Archer to find the truth of what one night did. After this, i can't wait for Stylo Fantome's next book and find out how she'll top this one!

This story was a laugh and a half, a freaking riot, and read like a comedy with a little love story thrown in. It was something different from Stylo Fantôme and I enjoyed the heck out of it.

Archer and Jo have been friends forever. After a night on the town, a night we the reader get a glimpse of, Jo wakes up to a dead body in the trunk of her car and no memory of what happened the night before. Best friends who help take care of a dead body together stay together and so Archer helps Jo to retrace her night and discover who the dead guy really is.

These two were jumping out of buildings, dodging bullets, and somehow finally gave in to the feelings they had for one another. While I loved the high intensity of each scene, I wanted the ending to give me more, to convince me of this couple and assure me that it was truly a happy ending. However, there wasn't anything in this story to really complain about because this author gave me something special - a crazily unique storyline.

I found this book so childish. I couldn't finish it. There was no depth to it at all to keep my interest. Just plain dumb.

I fell in love with Stylo Fantome's writing in the Kane Trilogy. Everyone of those books were a page turner. "Degradation," "Separation," and "Reparation." So excellently written. I highly recommend those three books. I still have them in my Kindle to re-read again some day.

I think after giving this author more tries, and more tries with the books she's written since the Kane series, she is a one hit wonder to me.

I will wait patiently for her to some day, hopefully, write Sander's book to complete the Kane series, but other then that, I'm out. I'm done.

She writes like an inexperienced child now trying to rush her first book to print. It surprises and disappoints me every time because I was such a fan. The characters were so dummy downed. I know she has it in her to be more. She did it before. She just hasn't caught that lightening in the bottle again. I keep routing for her, but it hasn't happened yet.

I've been trying to think what I would write for this review. Since I tend to love everything that Stylo writes, I knew I would still love this, no matter that it was different than what she had been writing before. I like her darkness that she brings to her stories and characters and this was kind of it, but so not. It was a comedy, it was a tad romantic and it was suspense. You know..it reminded me of the 80's. A little cheesy, a bit of drugs and some weird stuff happening in between something so outlandish that you just had to laugh at the craziness of it all.
"At the best of times, Archer drove like a prison inmate late for a conjugal visit, that's why she rarely ever rode with him."
Jo and Archer are the players in the game and the story is told in hours passing and what trouble they get themselves into with each passing hour. We start at a club where too much alcohol is involved and next thing we know they wake up at home and have forgotten so much of the previous night. But when something strange happens, they have to retrace steps to figure out the mystery. Too bad that there are bad guys around each corner.
Comedy, sex, car chases, guns, romance and drugs follow. If that's your thing, this is your kind of story. You like a little suspense and drugs and a little of the 80's mixed in with The Hangover? Then you're in for a real treat. This is Stylo's interpretation of what I see as that. It's outlandish and fun and a total page turner!
"I must be in love with you. Completely, stupidly, suicidally in love,"....

FIVE HILARIOUS STARS *****

I've always been a fan of Stylo Fantôme, and now that I've discovered that she can write rom-coms so well, my level of admiration and utter love has skyrocketed. This book was a ton of fun from beginning to end. The characters banter was hilarious and totally addictive, I couldn't get enough.

Jodie and Archer have been friends since they were kids. They always had an attraction for each other but never acted on it, because Jo is the little sister of Archer's best friend. Archer promised his friend to never hit on his little sister and to always take care of her.

Years later the attraction is still there, perhaps even more intense but Jodi and Archer have also become best friends and even neighbors. They are each other's ride or die. Which is why after a drunken night at a club, when Jodie wakes up in her car and finds something scary inside her trunk, Archer is the first person she thinks of asking for help.

Archer would do absolutely anything and everything for his Jojo. Every day together is an adventure with these two. Follow then in a sexy, fun and dangerous adventure where the craziest things will happen and you will love every minute of it.

Unexpected, unpredictable and totally addictive, this book is something special that I'm sure anyone who reads it will enjoy it.

This is my first Stylo Fantome book but not my last.

The writing is good, pulled me right in, kept me guessing what was going to happen. Yes, there were a few typos and whatnot, but I overlooked them because the story was really good. Dark humor with a hunky hero *cue googly eyes* and an awesome heroine.

Jodi - or Jojo - just wanted to have some fun with her work colleagues. She also wanted to make her best friend/neighbor/guy she was in love with jealous, take notice of her. He was her brother's best friend, therefore out of her league.

Or so she thought.

That fun night was quickly ruined by the next day, when she found a dead body in her car's trunk and no recollection of the night before and what could have happened, how he ended up in there.

Enter Archer, the hot neighbor/best friend/guy she was in love with. It went downhill from there, what with them trying to find out what happened. The many twists and turns, the funny and hot scenes, but also dangerous situations were the perfect mix, making this book really good.

I highly recommend it to anyone, I'm sure you're bound to enjoy it. 5 stars.
