More than a decade after she was killed by her own family members and her husband Mithu still awaits for justice to arrive, it not here nor there, but is yet to come. Will jassi ever get justice and what will it look like? She is no longer here because she followed her heart and fell in love with someone her family would never approve of. In 2012, her Uncle and Mother were arrested for planning the murder on Canadian soil...but is such a punishment justice for jassi? This book is about Jassi's life before she was murdered and it is very touching. It does not have a happy ending, but leaves open the question of: Where is justice for Jassi? - I hope I have inspired you all to read this book and it will lead you to question the justice system.

I found this book very interesting and informative. It exposed a culture that we are fairly immersed in in my part of BC but we do not always know much about. It is very difficult for the young people to live like typical westerners when their parents act like they are in their homeland. A sad case that will likely have little impact on others in a similar situation. It is hard to believe that one could do this to a family member. A well written book that keeps your interest.
