A pretty good movie introducing you to Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, Raven and Starfire as well as Trigon into the DCU Animated Universe. When Trigon sends his Corrupters after Raven, they take over the Justice League and take Raven. Can only Robin, Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, Starfire and a rebooted Cyborg defeat a controlled Superman, Flash and Wonder Woman while stopping the release of Trigon from his imprisonment?

This animated outing combines the established Justice League team, much of the Bat Family from the "Son of Batman" films, and a team as yet unseen in this continuity, the Teen Titans. Based on the sheer volume of characters, the story shouldn't work at all. However, a simple plot, exceptional animation, and plenty of well-written scenes between characters make for an enjoyable movie where every character gets their due. Bryan Q. Miller (who wrote Stephanie Brown's "Batgirl" title to perfection) has a knack for writing young characters without making them obnoxious or trying too hard to sound cool. There is one major flaw which mars an otherwise perfect animated feature; as an adult viewing this movie, I found the angsty faux-pop music selections that overpower some of the Teen Titans scenes off-putting and embarrassing. If you can overlook this one cringe-inducing misstep, "Justice League vs Teen Titans" is well worth your time.

After the Justice League defeats the Legion of Doom in the first five minutes, Robin acts unilaterally to defeat the Dark Lord. Batman decides Robin must learn team work and forces him to superhero teamwork building reform school. Here is meets an interesting bunch of characters, chicks in short skirts, and oh yeah, that Dark Lord thing is not over.

There is no introduction of characters. It assumes you have been following the Batman vs Robin series. The current Robin is named Damian and is the illegitimate son of Batman. The original Robin had moved on to be known as Nightwing for some reason I confuse with a duck. Wonder Woman dates Superman and not Batman and to be honest, I must have missed the episode which bumped Lois out of the picture, or else they never bothered.

PLOT SPOILER: Superman doesn't die in this film. That would be really stupid. The film incorporates humor which seems geared at the tweens.
