Sizes and fit are inconsistent. Even bought a couple different ones but that didn't help. The exact same shoe and size fits completely different as some are made in Mexico and some are made in Cambodia. There is an error in how they now do the strapping on the sides which is way too WIDE and allows toes to escape and makes for a very uncomfortable shoe. Used to wear Keen all the time, now I have to return these and find another Brand.
2. Wore them 6 out of 7 days per week....and I loved them. Best sandals I have ever owned.
3. Both sandals fell apart by October 9th. 3 months + 1 week after I bought them :(
4. Contacted Keen re warranty policy.
5. They agreed that the sandals shouldn't have fallen apart and were covered under their 1-year warranty .
6. Just ordered a replacement pair today
Since my Keens "failed", I have spoken with a LOT of Keens wearers. All of them expressed surprised that mine fell apart. Some people have been wearing the same pair for over a decade. Fingers crossed this new pair lasts longer than a single season.
Update - well I wrote that initial review too soon. Third time wearing the sandals, and as I feared, the pull-tab on the heel strap ripped off. Unfortunate, as the sandals are very comfortable, but without that tab they are nearly impossible to put on.
The sandals are described as fitting small, but in my experience they are no more than a 1/2 size smaller than most. I ordered them a full size larger than I usually wear and they were too big.

Ps: now have a size 9 and it fits perfectly. Thank you seller. However, from the slightly rumpled paper packaging and the loosened front loop, I think these have been sent out before to a customer and returned. It would help if the seller issued guidance on US vs UK sizing as continual return postage must be eating into their profitability, as well as causing inconvenience.
I wear the Keens without socks, use them daily in the house, as well as alternating them with trainers for my rides and they are still fresh and clean! The foot bed is extremely comfortable and my feet do not slide around. The elasticated upper too is very comfortable, despite me having a high instep. My high instep means that I have to use both hands to grip the front and rear tabs to open the sandal and pull it over my instep, but it is worth the effort to bathe my feet in comfort! I wear the Keens with the drawstrings loosened completely off to keep the pressure off my insteps (which also suffer from laces, when my feet swell), although I do tighten them before riding to prevent my toes from working their way up against the toe-box. With the drawstring slackened off, and my high instep, the elastic compression of the upper is sufficient for everyday walking.
After a 3 mile walk i found them very comfortable and the soles are as grippy on wet services as my brasher boots, love the idea that your toes are protected well.
If i get a year out of them i will be happy.
These are comfortable sandals, with the great advantage of toe-stubbing protection (worth twice the price for this alone) which dry quickly when they get wet.
Sole grip is pretty good and they cope well with typical Lake District/Peak District walking. Certainly I find them superior to Merrell sandals.
The one reason I like this style of sandal is that my toes are protected when walking but still the air can get to your feet when hot .
One extra comment . I have found Keen for me are great because I have a wider foot fitting .
I would class myself as a standard size 8 (42) , the length is fine with about 1.5 cm spare, but the width across my toes is tight, there is a neoprene layer underneath the outside layer and this is the where the problem is, even wearing them with no tension on the outside straps they are still tight.
After about 1 hours walking I found I had sore areas on my feet, I have since been using them for water sports which is my main reason for purchasing and they are great but do take quite a while to dry. I will have to continue with the walking, I am sure they will eventually wear in but would have expect them not to be such a snug fit so you can then adjust them to fit using the outside tensioners , I never have a problem with the width of my shoes and from other reviews I expected these premium sandals to fit better
