5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book! Jan. 29 2015
By Mary Bowman-kruhm - Published on
Format: Paperback
This is an excellent book for helping students who may listen but not hear every word a teacher says. Plus Linda Trice tells a good story with a catchy ending.

A Kid's Review - Published on
Format: Hardcover
My folks gave me this book. They said it would help me understand about nouns and adjectives.

I thought it was just a lot of fun. I really liked the scene when the spider got loose and scared the kids.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Story that Every Little Girl should read! Sept. 3 2013
By Angela of Color Me Purple - Published on
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
"Kenya's Word" gives readers a glimpse into the head of an articulate, refreshingly honest adolescent who doesn't quite think or behave like other little girls in her class. At times the storybook is humorous and at other times it is poignant and somewhat sad for it reminds many of us grown girls of episodes in our youth when we didn't exactly fit in! Kenya's strength of character is a lesson for all of us to share with all of our baby girls.
