If you have to only get one book about the ketogenic diet, get this one! It has exceptional tried-and-true recipes. I've read and own lots of keto-oriented books and cookbooks but even I learned some new recipes and tricks. I love Jimmy and think he's a great role model and one of the few honest and lovely personalities in the diet-blogosphere. I expected a lot but my expectations were exceeded; I was surprised at just how THOROUGH this book is. I honestly wish I just bought this one because it's got everything you'd ever need to stick to a satisfying and rewarding ketogenic diet.

My type 2 diabetic mom was on a pill a day, and headed for gradually increasing medication culminating in daily injections. More than a year ago, she decided to get on a ketogenic diet. It took about 3 months for her to change her eating habits and get on full keto. Since then she has stopped medication and both her daily sugar readings and her hospital conducted quarterly (every 3 months) blood tests have shown normal. If you live in the Snow belt, I recommend you start the diet in Spring.

This book has a lot of variety and has helped my mother not to feel left out when we are eating something she craves. Some of these recipes are so good the rest of the family joins our mom. It has helped to change the food habits of everyone to one with lower carbs. Definitely recommend !!

This is a fantastic book. It explains what the ketogenic diet is comprised of and the recipes are delicious and easy to follow. I love the four different 7 day meal plans that are provided, especially the one for maintaining your weight loss. Most diet cook books only include the weight loss plan and then leave you to try and figure out how to not gain the weight back.

This is a beautifully illustrated book with lots of recipes, all very clearly written out, and with lots of explanation about the Keto way of life and the science behind it. It has particularly good explanations of the carb profiles of different food groups which I found really useful. I also liked the photo index of all the recipes at the back (alongside the conventional index) - very handy. It is American so you will need to do a bit of conversion for the UK measurements (this is not a major issue).
