Product Description

Blogging is a great way to get paid for your writing. Or is it?

Do you like wasting time? Do you love having thousands of people come to your website and not even bother to subscribe to your mailing list? Are you trying to attract people to your site that never pay a dime for information?

There are some big problems with the blogging approach to making a living for your writing. This book will help you solve those problems, make more money doing less work, put out better content that is more valuable to readers, and make much more efficient use of your precious time.

My name is Buck Flogging. Having owned a computer with an internet connection for less than one year, I started my first blog. I knew absolutely nothing about blogging or computers. In fact, a week before I started a blog was the first time I’d ever heard the word “blog.” It was suggested I start one of these “blog” things by a co-worker who had checked out some of my writing and thought the web was a good place to get some of my writing out there in the world.

And blog I did. I wrote post after post after endless post for years. By the end of 2013, seven years into this blogging malarkey, over 700 posts under my belt, 55,000 comments strong, 6-figure annual revenue generation, with a global Alexa ranking in the top 90,000 and 5,000 daily visitors to my site, I pulled the plug on it with no warning.

I worked so hard for seven years to build a blog from absolute nothing to an authority website in my niche. Why, after all that hard work to arrive at such an enviable place, would I just hastily yank it down?

You’ll find out in this book. It was not without good reason.

Blogging, for writers hoping to expose their information to an audience, make efficient use of their time, and make a full-time living with their words, is a distant second best to the strategies laid out in "Kill Your Blog: 12 Reasons Why You Should Stop F#$%ing Blogging!"

Breeze through this information-saturated and entertaining short book now. It will open your eyes to a world of possibilities that lie outside of the outdated blogging approach.

I've just decided to really get serious about my blog, and then found this ebook.

Now I'm rethinking. Big time.

And hoping that other bloggers in my genre remain clueless!

Fantastic book, great read, succinct and entertaining.

This is not a book. It's so short it might as well be a BLOG article (pun intended!)

HASH(0x98b6a4e0) out of 5 stars Don't Let The Language Put You Off...This is A Valuable Book Feb. 25 2014
By Linton Robinson - Published on Amazon.com

"Buck Flogging" as the name suggests takes a rather profane and cavalier attitude towards putting across his thesis. I thought it was funny. If you are offended, I'd suggest you hold your nose and read it anyway.
After a few years of seeing self-publishing "expert" after "mentor" after "guru" piously pass on the tired opinion that you need to have a blog to get anywhere and update it daily and all that crap, it's really refreshing to have somebody confirm my own impression: that it's a waste of time.
And he does so in a really solid, persuasive manner. It's hard to escape what he pounds down with examples, common sense reasoning, and his own experience. Yes, this is not a sour grapes thing: "Buck" was making a living as a blogger. Until he figured out he could make MORE money and have more fun with less pain in the butt in other ways of spending his time.
And he was nice enough to tell us about it.
If you are looking at your blog as an income source or necessary part of flogging your book, reading KYB could be the best time/few bucks investment you will make.

The bottom line is this: Would rather be a blogger with 700 posts or a Writer with 15 books?

If you choose the latter, choose this book.

KILL IT!

HASH(0x98b6a6f0) out of 5 stars I Wish I Had Read This Book First... Jan. 28 2014
By Beth - Published on Amazon.com

This book is clearly written, concise and to the point. Yet it's jam-packed with ideas on how to help you NOT blog. Now blog?! Why on earth should anyone not blog?

Blogging takes time. And it takes money. LOADS of time to write posts, drive traffic to your site and then to monetize. It often can take years for a blogger to make substantial money from his/her blog and most blogs won't even make a dime.

There ARE other ways to make money Online. This book will point you in that direction. I wish this was first Online Biz book I had read...it would have saved me a lot of time, money and effort.

HASH(0x98b6a9e4) out of 5 stars Excellent. Burn the blog, baby! Jan. 29 2014

This ebook is written in the style of a make goof who is uneducated...but, don't be fooled! He's one sharp cookie.

You can reap a ton of great info here! (Wake up! Beam me up, Scotty! Up & out of the personal blogging world--from blogger to book author.)

He tells briefly about his serious blogging for seven years & how he woke up to the realization that being a book author pays way way way better way way way faster, fixes the creative crave better, sounds better (well, it does really, no?), is better for your audience/subscribers & more. He does not dive into any of his old boring past blogging stories, but gives you a glimpse of what he did and what he does now (hint: does not "blog") and he how and why and all the beautiful glorious details!

Anyhow, I had to read this ebook in one sitting (one laying, truth be told as I was in bed and finished it at 3:53am) with one squinty eye...& I still managed to highlight it and write this review!

I got this while free.

HASH(0x98b6aa44) out of 5 stars To the point, good ideas and resources Jan. 27 2014
By Veronica - Published on Amazon.com

Easy to read - though with some of the profane word choices in his examples, I thought I was being led into a scam, to be honest - this book made sense and helped inspire me to focus on REAL BOOK writing, rather than puttering around with little blog posts. Simple enough, honest, and not too sales-pitchy, though there are obvious plugs. Hey, but it was free and full of very valuable strategies.
