Answered a question which Amazon CA sent. Person wondered why one unit worked and the other lasted a short time, a matter of days. Exact thing happened to my order. Within 3 nights one unit simply quit. Did a side by side test in direct equal light with the units placed together faced to the sun as did not even mount them. One unit works as advertised the second is a dud. You can play with the on button but it will not respond. So the maker either has some problem or they intentionally ship one faulty unit hoping you will keep them due to one works of the pair.

Very bright lights for my backyard!

I bought these randomly. The big battery, compact size and lots of LEDs made me decide on this one.
All the solar lights look relatively the same but just different LED designs.

You can choose 3 modes.
1. Motion detection full brightness
2. Motion detection full brightness after return to dim.
3. Always on dim.

These are built very well. There's no flexing in the plastics at all. I placed it in the sun to charge all day and at night they light up automatically. The coverage is very good and the brightness is very decent for the size of the light.

I've mounted these on my fence outside in my backyard. They're great to add an extra ambience to your house!
I watched a youtube video about these solar lights having no charge protection on the lithium battery. I tested one low battery light and it seems like they're allowed to discharge below 3V and on the 18650 cell inside, that's not good.

So far there's no problem, so I'll wait 1 year later and see if they're still alive from constant charging and constant over discharge. So 5 stars for now because they work. :P

units are very small and light, no wiring required. comes with mounting hardware. i never installed mine as both units never turned on even after spedning days in broad daylight. opened one to check for anyting loose, was surprised that there is no weatherproofing seal around the enclosure edges - just U + T kind of slot that fit together (it is not a tight fit). battery is a single cell. some things are held in by blobs of glue. tiny circuit board controls it. no way to tell if switch is on or off (depressed or not). would love to see it working but after two weeks, time is running out and will have to return it..

Re-update to the update. I docked a star again, these are just plain wonky. Some nights they function as they are intended and on the program I choose, but they randomly do their own thing. Some nights one won't come on, or it won't be on as intended and then some time later it is. I just think they're cheaply made, I'd like to say they are great looking and I like them, I just wish they actually worked properly.

Update: Seller resolved the issue with a no questions asked replacement of the item. I still maintain that a percentage of them are wonky and don't behave properly, but I had new ones at my door in a few days of the email correspondence. Credit where its due, now to see about longevity!

I ordered 2 sets of these after returning different units which had a poor color temperature. I was optimistic these would work as I have 2 from a couple months ago that are working perfectly and haven't missed a beat. One unit worked erratically, and one unit stopped working after a couple of days and does not respond to any button input. These are in full sun throughout the day. I emailed the address on the card included in the box which stated to clearly do so if I was unsatisfied or they did not work. I told him about the problem thinking it would be resolved, clearly indicating my experience with these lights and their function, where they are located, and the behavior they've exhibited. I got a reply with the advice to "ensure they're charged" and operate the buttons correctly. I never received another reply, I was hoping the seller would back these up, but instead I will "pack these up" and send them right back.

I put one light in back yard and the other one near the front entrance and it lights up pretty bright and cover pretty wide are. The motions sensor is very accurate it senses the presence of any moving object and immediately lights up. It has 3 different modes strong light mode (continues light for at least 2-3 hours I believe haven’t tested yet), dim light mode which is very intelligent bcos the light looks dim but the moment if someone passes near by the light it lights up strong bright and the strong light which is I set in the light I put in entrance area, if someone passes by the light it immediately lights up choose the mode according to your need.

I really like the angled design of these lights which thorws light not only in one direction but to the left right and center. They are built solid and don’t feel inferior or plasticky. I really like them and deifinitely recommend!

bought these solar lights hoping it would just brighten up the rear of the garden if nothing else, I am more than pleased with these lights, even on low they emit more light than most solar lights that I have had, but soft enough to not be over baring, they pick up movement really well again without being over sensitive and they brighten to the fullest which give off loads of light and dim again pretty quickly once the (our cat in our case) person/animal has moved, my other half wasn't convinced when I bought them and quickly changed his mind after the first night of being up, so much so he has told me to buy more! so as it is after just a week so far we are more than happy with these lights, I would say the only slight complaint would be that you have to take the lights down again to change the settings, but that is nothing major.

Update July 02 2020: The solar lights stopped working only 2 days after the installation. Not worth the money, I must amend this to 1 star!
