The King's Throne:

Book I

The Elysian Blade of Truth

One day, as Grys, butler to the king and queen of Aldamanis, is walking through town, a woman appears in front of him. Later on, she appears again in his chambers. She puts thoughts of ruling into his mind as he sleeps, and she is soon appointed court wizard. However, troubles begin to ensue throughout the kingdom as she, Nnelthu Leas, plants the seeds of doubt throughout the land.

"I think it's high time we bring an end to this charade, my dear." She effortlessly tossed him into one of the pillars. Alexi drew his sword and charged at her, she caught the blade with her fingertips and gently brought him close. "Something wrong, your majesty? Not feeling well? You can thank Grys for that."

As a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings, I've been looking for awesome new fantasy books and worlds to enter into. So I was pleasantly surprised with the writing to be found in The King's Throne. This book is an excellent book for those of you that enjoy true fantasy. The author has packed this book full with a fantasy plot line that you will find engrossing. It's also a great price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast Moving Fantacy Oct. 6 2014

This was a very fun read. Lots of action and not too much reflection. Sometime moved a little too fast, but I was glued to it the whole time. Great example of the power of forgiveness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Gripping Fantasy Novel April 17 2014
By Nick J. - Published on Amazon.com

I must say I'm fairly new to the fantasy novel genre, even though I've always been into Lord of the Rings and even role playing video games (RPGS).

That being said I do know a good fantasy story when I see one and this book has definitely has "it"! Plenty of intrigue, amazing imagery (I really felt like I was there) and most importantly memorable characters!!

I don't want to spoil the plot too much but the whole human-dwarf angle really was clever and the major battle scene reminded me of the movies and video games I love so much in an odd way, only in print form. I look forward to more from Mealea......this one is well worth picking up if you're into the fantasy genre!

4.0 out of 5 stars Really enjoyed this book. Read my review to find out more April 26 2014

4.5 Stars - I thoroughly enjoyed the theme of this story. I can easily see this book (series?) being made into a great movie. I won't give the plot away. The only reason this is not getting 5Stars plus is I found some of the writing a bit disconnected and there are a few typing errors - not enough to denigrate the book but enough for me to not be able to give it the star rating the storyline deserves. I could easily visualise the scenes in movie form which means the book came alive. I will not be surprised if this did become a movie. Looking forward to another book in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible book written with vivid imagination. April 27 2014

Mealea Mathews has written a very impressive story here. This is by far the best fantasy book I have read. The action revolves around a king and queen who have been deposed by an evil shadow wizard. The plot centers on the hero King trying to get back his hostage wife as well as restoring his lost kingdom. Be warned there are MANY sub plots here that add to the adventure as well as the story. I was very impressed by the way everything tied together at the end of the book. Any reader of good fantasy will love this book.
