I am riting this review from my dads account and to start out with a basic description of the product, it sucked. the first problem rite away was that the beeswax peletts would not melt. i put it in for at least 2 minutes but the never melted. another problem was that the essential oils' smell was so strong that i had a coughing fit (thankfully i went out of the kitchen then). then another problem was that the oils would not mix in no matter how hard i tried! i am an eleven year old who is able to do almost every diy project but this kit was horrible. the age says 6 and up but it should be for teenagers be cause trust me it is not at all easy. and an even bigger problem was that i wasnt able to pour the lip balm into the container. the spoon doesnt help much because it is too small and easily breakable. i would really recommend to everyone 2 not buy this product because there are just 2 many problems.

Bought it as a Christmas gift for our granddaughter. She spent several hours enjoying making the various lip balms, with her grandmother, sampling the flavours and has been using the lip balms daily. Great hit.

Instructions read to place provided cup in microwave - it melted before the allotted time rendering it unusable after first use

I didn't see the product but apparently my niece absolutely loved it. Best of all, the product is all natural.

HASH(0x9fbe612c) out of 5 stars Best ever - high quality and all natural Nov. 10 2012
By L. Speidel - Published on Amazon.com
I bought two of these for my daughter's 10th birthday party. The girls were able to choose their flavor and with the help of an adult, they made their own lip balm! The end product was so much higher quality than I expected! It's all natural with shea butter, bees wax and safflower oil. The key to ensuring the jars don't melt (like the other reviewer said) is to pour the hot mixture first into a small flask or other bowl / jar that has a spout. Do not pour it directly from the pot or bowl you melted it in. This allows the mixture to cool slightly but not too much (it hardens quickly) before pouring it into the individual pots. I will definitely buy this again. Perfect for the girls to make gifts for their teachers.

HASH(0xa098c980) out of 5 stars Very disappointed Dec 22 2011
By Glockenspeiler - Published on Amazon.com
I was very excited about this product and making lip balms with my daughter to give out as holiday gifts. Unfortunately, the instructions left out a very significant detail: let the mixture cool for a certain amount of time before pouring into the jars. We learned the hard way that the jars melt. Yeah, that's right - the jars literally melted and became deformed and unusable. So annoying. We had to nix this holiday gift idea and go buy chocolates for everyone instead. Bad instructions and terrible design.

HASH(0xa00dbbac) out of 5 stars Fill the jars quickly Jan. 4 2013
By Mimimama - Published on Amazon.com
We enjoyed making lip balm very much. Our only problem was the liquid started solidifying very quickly, before we could get it into the jars, resulting in some not so pretty lip balms. So try to do it quickly!

HASH(0xa04cb588) out of 5 stars Missing one of the essential oils! Jan. 4 2012

The kit is missing one of the two essential oils for flavoring. The bottle is empty. Otherwise it's cute looking and we will do the project. I appreciate the other review so our bottles won't melt.

HASH(0xa00dbe58) out of 5 stars Fun Natural Lip Balms Jan. 12 2013

I like the natural products in this, which was probably the main draw. It's nice to show your kids that they don't need something with a bunch of chemicals in it and that natural is actually better. If I could ask for them to add anything to this product, It would be a little container to do the melting and mixing. All the shea butter and beeswax are nice for your skin, but my daughter ended up using our turkey baster to fill the individual containers, and I don't think it will ever come out. lol It's a fun product and I would buy it again. Could be fun for a birthday party, each of the girls could take home their own lip balm.
