The last paragraph left me stumped (perhaps on purpose), but the sample pages of book 2 helped clear that up.
It happens when too many twists and turns boggles the writer herself. It makes sense to her, but the reader needs a wee bit more clarification. There are spelling errors, like check instead of cheek. But I get it that the spell checker can catch those. I sense the writer may be 16-20 years old and she did good.
