As the review for the 40oz stated, it sits in a weird place when around you. There is a lot I would have preferred this do, but all of that would cost extra. I'd like to be able to remove the strap that goes around my neck as this also has a built in belt loop. I'd like the holder itself to have a little elasticity to it so it would be easier to get in and out when using it as a belt loop. But all of those things would push the cost to 10 bucks or more, and for 2 dollarsish this thing is a no brainer to buy. Its not perfect by any means, but certainly worth the cup of coffee it costs to buy. If I paid much more (5.50 as the regular price for instance), I would have sent it back.
Update Summer 2014
I got tired of swearing at trying to put my kanteen in and out so I took this to the local sewing shop. I had a webbed inflexible panel taken out and replaced with a black stretchy elastic material and then the sling cut off, looped, and replaced with 2 d-rings. So now I can use this as a strap as intended (with a strap that has two clips i owned previously) or put it through a belt loop. Most importantly, I can get the KK in and out without issue in under a second. I think the total cost to mod two was 9 bucks. This thing should never be sold as is and should be updated the way I did it. Would be an awesome purchase at 10 bucks.

It was what it is and fits the bottle perfectly. No surprises and no regrets on my part. Would buy another one.Published on May 29 2014 by no pullin punches
Good for running or hiking when one isn't carrying a backpack or a hydration bladder. It accommodates a large bottle and keeps it secure.Published on April 5 2014 by Ace Man
