Product Description

Bestselling author Sherry Ewing presents the continuing saga of the MacLaren’s in A Knight To Call My Own.

When your heart is broken, is love still worth the risk?

Lynet of Clan MacLaren knows how it feels to love someone and not have that love returned. After waiting for six long years, she has given up hope of Ian’s return. Her brother-in-law, the Devil’s Dragon of Berwyck, is tired of waiting for her to choose a husband and has decided a competition for the right to wed Lynet is just the thing his willful charge needs to force her hand.

Ian MacGillivray has returned to Berwyck Castle in search of a bride and who better than the young girl who cared for him all those years ago. But Lynet is anything but an easy conquest and he will need more than charm to win her hand in marriage.

From the English borders to the Highlands of Scotland, the chase is on for who will claim the fair Lynet. The price paid will indeed be high to ensure her safety and even higher to win her love.

Don’t miss out on Sherry’s other novels: If My Heart Could See You, a medieval romance and the beginning of her series; For All of Ever: The Knights of Berwyck, A Quest Through Time Novel (a medieval time travel romance) and Only For You, its sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite in the series!! July 19 2015
By Suzanne Rice - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I think this book is probably my favorite of the series. I had wanted to find out what happened to Lynet. I like reading books like this in a series where a more minor character from previous books gets his or her own story. Unlike many romance novels where there is a big misunderstanding the characters don't resolve with a ten minute conversation and instead misunderstand each other throughout much of the novel, the main conflict here is not a misunderstanding. I'm glad, because I think the big misunderstanding conflict is way overdone and also aggravating for the reader. This novel also has a couple of sad parts, but does end on a happy/melancholy note. I really enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to the next one in the series. (One thing to note in the book is that there are a dozen or so times an apostrophe is used when a word is meant to be plural.)

4.0 out of 5 stars Lynet Gets Her Knight! Jan. 16 2017
By C Patterson - Published on Amazon.com

I love this whole series so far! I'm so glad that I discovered it. I am glad Lynet finally was reunited with her Laird Ian and he made peace with his mother. I am glad that Ian overcame the challenges that his family presented. I am hoping that Aidan gets his story next. I am curious what happens with him - as the eldest brother but the castle taken from him, what becomes of him. I can guess but I'm only the reader, not the author.

There are some graphic scenes in this book, from the wedding night "taking" to some of the deaths of several of the characters. If that is not your thing, just be aware that there may be several parts that are not for you. However, historically, it was not a pretty time. These scenes did not bother me - however, I wanted to give other readers the awareness of these parts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Miss Out On This Amazing And Emotional Journey! Oct. 3 2015

Lynet has waited to for six years for Ian to return but after a heartbreaking letter she knows she needs to move on. Then her brother-in-law ,tired of waiting for her to choose another decides to hold a competition for her hand. Ian finds out that he is now a laird and in need of a wife. Ian thinks he just needs to collect Lynet but now he must contend with rivals and Lynet herself to win back her heart.

This book was written so well and I'm so happy that we got to find out what happened with Lynet and Ian from If My Heart Could See You. I just loved Lynet and Ian and really wanted to see them have their HEA. Of course the author doesn't make it easy and there is plenty of laughter, heartache, and action along the way. The plot was action packed with many characters to love and hate. It was very easy to connect with Lynet , she is so caring, strong, and the right amount of feisty. Ian was the perfect amount of sexy, stubborn, and honorable even if there were sometimes I just shook my head lol. Small WARNING do not read this book in the doctors office unless you don't mind strange looks for crying. The one scene is done so well that you can just see it happening in slow motion in your head. NO cliffhanger and has a HEA.

Medieval Historical Romance with some great steam - I can't wait for her next book and I will read this one again!

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok story Oct. 8 2015
By westdog - Published on Amazon.com

Really wanted to like this story but it is not my favorite. The heroine got on my nerves, I know she was young but
was annoyingly immature. I find the last few books the heroine s were kind of annoying characters. The hero' s are good solid characters . I gave it 3 stars because it did have a good storyline. Out of all the books ,my favorite is still the first in this series ( If my heart could see you)
