HASH(0x9facb738) out of 5 stars Great and simple Dec 4 2012

i haveused thease markers for the last few years. They are easy to use and the color is a true gold.. They last a long time and can be used on almost any surface without a problem. The will however tarnish over time. For best results it is a good idea to seal the finish with a good poly after the gold has cured for a few days and the finish will last for years.

I used this on the detail finish on a medium fire ceramic chess piece i made and it worked great. Very solid, good coverage, and appears like real gold. I'm really impressed with these pens by Krylon

Excellent color and easier to use than paint and a brush for touching up worn gold leafing on ceramic figurines!

Don't know what environments this is designed for - to touch up a picture frame, etc., it probably works quite well.
I bought this to touch up a charm ... it applied easily, covered smoothly, dried quickly.
And started to fade off by the 2nd day the charm was worn.
If you have a no- or low-wear environment, it is certainly worth a try - maybe all you'll ever need.
But to touch up a charm or a locket - no way. It reacted with the wearer's skin leaving the notorious faux-gold green stain.

HASH(0x9facd144) out of 5 stars Quick drying on paper and easy to use Feb. 15 2016

I make and sell greeting cards to benefit our local library, and I thought I could use this gold leafing pen to highlight objects on my cards. The Anniversary card in the customer image has the words 'My Sunshine' decorated with this Krylon Leafing pen.

Be sure to give the pen a good shaking before use, and then push the tip up and down on a piece of scrap paper to get the gold leaf down into the pen tip. Once the gold starts showing up on your scrap paper, you are ready to go. The pen is surprisingly easy to use. Just be careful not to press down too hard, or you may get more gold leaf than you bargained for.

The gold leaf dries very quickly--within 10 minutes unless you applied it very thickly.
