I liked everything about it accept the tutorial disk that’s not working. I would appreciate if the seller would kindly supply a printed version of the tutorial or some circuit diagram. This starter kit is a gift for my nine years old grandson as a matter of fact he is totally confused with it . Nothing more to add ; however awaiting for a speedy reply

Very good kit. I have it for a month and did not finish all projects from the guide as of yet. Kit includes documentation CD with lots of books, examples and project ideas. It was very easy to start from the very beginning and progress doing examples from documentation. The small drawback is a very low quality breadboard. So I went out and got one with Radioshack label on it that appeared to be much better quality. Since then all builds are working and I really enjoying messing with all items included into kit. There is a separate power supply for a breadboard included as well so you can run high power applications like servomotor without overloading your USB port. I definitely recommend this kit and guarantee that will spend long hours enjoying it, building stuff and learning about electronic components, sensors and programming.

This is an excellent entry kit for learning about the Arduino and many of the things that can be done with it. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the components, given the price, and even more so by the compatibility of the Uno board itself. No puzzling steps to get it working. Just plugged it into the USB port on the computer and the Arduino IDE recognized it immediately. Very cool. Now the challenges will be as they should be, to design and build the circuits I want to work on, not to struggle with incompatible hardware and defective parts. Good little kit Kuman!

The kit did a good job of getting many parts we need, and all of my parts worked flawlessly. Parts which seemed useless at first, very rapidly found a use as my knowledge on electronics grew.

However, some parts that should have been included, and would only have totalled a dollar or less all together, were neglected. The three best examples are: simple diods -needed for negative measurements on the lm35 temperature sensor that was included- (leds have a very high voltage drop for serious electronics), some npn transistors (needed any time you want to control anything that draws more than 0.02 amps, or 5v; and an ir led (a remote and a receiver were included, but no ir led is included to send custom commands). Although not essential, another part I ended up buying for my projects which could make the kit better are relays.

The DVD worked, but was not very complete to give the datasheets for all the components. It was still very useful though.

The kit has a good assortment of parts to get started with Arduino. As other people have noted, this kit is based on a clone of the Uno, *not* the Mega2560. But it gets you started. In testing various parts, I found one that was faulty and wrote to the seller via Amazon. The seller responded within a day, asking for a picture of the component. I sent it, and the seller sent replacement through Amazon within days. Very impressed with the customer service!

When first bought i was hesitated and then the kit was missing few small pieces but i contacted Thes guys at 10 pm and believe me they were do eager to help and said me that they will send whole replacement and replied back in the minutes. I was really impressed as no one even bother to reply to customer complain after hours but these guys are really good at what they do and the parts are reliable. I tried with a lot of components that i bought from local store but Kuman has higher quality and low prive.

When looking at the data sheets on the provided CD, some parts are difficult to identify based just alpha-numeric part number.

Not all data sheets have examples, so Googling is most likely required (recommended, for broader community exposure).

Would recommend also purchasing a multi-pack of sensors (ie 37-in1 kits) to get a better idea of potential uses, and just fun.

I actually quite enjoyed my Arduino I had fun with this kit for a day before the microprocessor burned out on me. At first I thought it might have been my fault even though I had only an led connected with a resister I might add. being powered by the arduino itself. After closer inspection I noticed the processor was actually lifted which resulted in the short. and the 9v battery connector was completely useless out of the box. Which was just more of a inconvenience than anything, also more than half the leds already looked dead. overall great product poor quality control save yourself money and buy directly from the company and avoid kuman. It might be more expensive but you get higher quality equipment. I am not even wasting my time sending this back they can take the $30 and will not receive anymore business from me. Ps. I emailed the company about my problem before writing this review to see if they would take ownership of their problem they emailed me back asking for my order ID and i never heard from them again. Clearly they do not care to much about their customers.

As an avid maker and YouTuber, people often ask me what to buy to get started with Arduino. I usually ask them what they want to do with the Arduino and suggest components useful towards their project. But this kit is very reasonably priced for all the components included. So, I decided to check it out before I would recommend it to my friends.

I'm happy to report that is a great value! You could get it cheaper directly from China, but for just a few dollars more I received it in two days instead of four weeks waiting from China.

It is a good kit, but let's start with the bad news:
It is a Chinese clone, not a genuine Arduino, but it works fine. You might have to install some drivers, but I didn't have to because I already use many clone Arduinos.
There is no printed instructions, the CD contains some "lessons" that are more of a guide to build using the various components with very little explanation. The diagrams were often confusing, but thankfully there are plenty FREE excellent Arduino resources online. There is even a decent knockoff book on the CD.

The worst thing about this kit hopefully is that ALL the white jumper wires were defective (the two ends are not connected to each other). The wires look perfectly fine, but there must've been a manufacturing defect on all the white batch. I spent over an hour before I deduced that SOME of the wires weren't working! Whoever heard of a broken jumper wire?!

If you're still reading you might be wondering why I gave this item a five star?!
Well, I contacted Kuman, and they were very responsive and sent replacement jumper wires and matrix (it had a dead pixel). Thanks KumanTech!

Now the good:
This kit is an incredible value for the money. I'm not even sure you could purchase all the pieces separately from China for a better price.
Having it all in one box two days after I order it is worth it.
Parts come well packed. Parts that needs padding were padded. No pins were bent (as is often the case if you order directly from China).
There are many similar kits, but I like this one because of the included parts. The number of projects you could build JUST with this kit is pretty amazing.
You really could start playing with Arduino with just what you receive in this kit (and the internet as your resource).
It even comes with a battery! That you don't really need because you can power everything off the USB port of your computer which you will need to program the Arduino anyway.

I could go on praising every part of this kit. There are so many parts to play with. I'm going to stop writing and go play some more. AMA.

Lo compré para mi hijo, pues estaba yendo a clases de robótica y le gustaba seguir desarrollando en casa lo que aprendía allí, así que tras buscar y comparar unos cuantos kits, decidí quedarme con éste por los accesorios que trae y el precio que tenía.
