The raspberry pi works just great and the case is high quality! The charger and micro-sd card were defective (charger wouldn't maintain electricity stable and micro-sd was corrupted), but after contacting the seller, he made things right! A good aftersale service!
I tried my 2.1A phone charger and that works fine. I tried my Pi 3B+ 2.5A power supply and that works fine.
Case is horrible - all pieces are loose and rattling, comes apart easily, made of cheap hard plastic.
No screws provided to screw down the board to case, so board is rattling and most annoying is the loose gap for sd card - half the time card falls into the case because of the gap.
The motherboard I dunno if it’s knockoff, it has a strong burning silicone smell right out of the package but at least it works.
The whole package was thrown together in a clear plastic bag and the motherboard and charger packaging was crushed on arrival; amazon shipped it in a box so it's not amazon, it must have been like that before shipping.
Didn't bother trying the sd card - many bad reviews on poor quality of that already here.
The power supply is absolute garbage, completely unusable.
Once i got a new power supply cable I kept having memory issues, I either got faulty sd card or theres a problem with the board. At this point I dont want to keep wasting my time troubleshooting this poor Chinese quality product.
Basically you get everything as described; a genuine Raspberry Pi 3, a nice case, a power adapter, 16 GB micro SD card and heatsinks. Everything works; the Pi 3 fits in the case perfectly, the heatsinks have self-adhesive tape attached, the SD card is genuine and the power adapter does its job well. Shipping took about 2 weeks or so, pretty reasonable for free.
Set up is quick; I had the Pi 3 in its case, a memory card flashed and RetroPie set up within an hour or two. You do not need to know any high level scripting, programming or even a great deal about Linux to get a Pi 3 system up and running. Most of the menus and options are self explanatory and there are lots of tutorials on the internet.
The built in wifi and bluetooth work well. I connected to my home network with nothing more than my wifi password and I was able to get my PS3 controller connected wireless with minimal effort. Both connections are holding up with no disconnects or slowness. The HDMI works as it should, no issues with the picture size or quality. The Pi 3 supports HDMI CEC so you can control your Pi via your TV remote if your TV supports CEC, a really nice feature that I did not expect to work as well as it does.
There's so much more you can do with a Pi 3, I've barely started to really get into it. If you get this set for $70 or so, buy it. It's a great deal.
