I was looking to find the most low profile and lightweight Arca-Swiss style clamp, and this is it...a high quality clamp that holds tight and secure to the long dovetail plate I mounted to the tripod collar of a Sigma C 150-600mm zoom. This was in the interest of making an additional support ring for the lens to further stabilize it, secure the zoom from accidental creep (the lens is quite good at not creeping as is), and help control any risk of flexing, all of which benefit my use of this particular lens in astrophotography. I paired clamp with a 105mm diameter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K8CPFSM) guide ring, the only difficulty being easily solved with a pair of thin cup washers...fully screwed down tightly, the clamp was perpendicular to the ring and I needed it to be parallel and the washers took care of that. I like the clamp so well that I've just ordered another that I'll use to replace another small fishbone style clamp I mount my guide scope with. That will reduce the weight by an ounce, which isn't much yet for what is already a heavy payload for my star tracker is a step in the right direction.
