What types of spreaders are available?
You can choose from three types of fertiliser spreaders: rotary or broadcast, drop, and liquid.
Rotary fertiliser spreaders come in several forms, including hand-held, push-type, pull or tow-behind, and each has their own set of advantages. Handheld spreaders can be great for the even distribution of seeds and nutrients to areas of the garden that a larger spreader couldn’t reach. Push-type spreaders are similar to lawn mowers and are perfect for standard-sized lawns, holding more fertiliser than its alternatives. Tow-behind spreaders are attached to the back of lawn mowers and ATV's, making them optimal for much larger areas.
Drop fertiliser spreaders are best used for evenly distributing grass seeds, potentially for a brand new garden or an ongoing project.
Liquid fertiliser spreaders have been used for decades, and are favoured because of their ease of use.
