Finally, The Complete Series! Beautifully Restored and Remastered on 37 Discs!

Inspired by the real life experiences of creators Joe Connelly and Bob Moshers own children, Leave It To Beaver follows the hilarious everyday adventures of young Theodore 'Beaver' Cleaver and his older brother Wally. Whether at home, at school or playing around their suburban neighborhood, Beaver always manages to get himself into some kind of trouble, comically learning each valuable lesson life has to offer along the way. Alongside baseball and apple pie, Leave It To Beaver reigns supreme in the pantheon of Americana. Boasting 234 episodes, spanning six iconic seasons from 1957 63, no other series on television better exemplifies the purity of childhood and importance of family in America.

Bonus Features:

* Its A Small World: The rare pilot episode that started it all!

* Forever The Beaver - The Cleavers Look Back: Cast members Jerry Mathers, Tony Dow and Barbara Billingsley as well as renowned collector and co-creator of The New Leave It To Beaver Brian Levant reflect on the quintessential American family sitcom.

I was on the fence about ordering this collection, although I always loved watching the show as a kid, as a teen, and as I young adult. Would I laugh and enjoy it today?
Absolutely! I find the show even more important to me today, then back in the day. Still laugh, and now I can watch all those episodes that I never saw. So pleased to have made this purchase. Now I can sit back and enjoy good, wholesome entertainment,

This is a masterpiece of television sitcom art.
Although the setting is in the 1950s and 1960s
the stories and acting are superb in every way.
Although this was not filmed in colour, the cinematography
is excellent, sharp and clear. The characters are "real
people" - real boys and girls, mothers and fathers.
The sitcoms of today do not meet the excellence of
story telling, meaning and depth of understanding provided
by the "Leave It To Beaver" sitcom collection.
I recommend this collection to anyone who wants to experience
a taste the what family "reality" feels like and for those
who just want to make a trip into nostalgia and make fun
of how things were in the "pioneering days" of TV land.

I loved this show and was so happy it came out in a box set. I also love that each season has it's own hard plastic case. This also comes with a separate case for the bonus DVD. Watching this brought back so many memories, especially the episodes with Eddie Haskell. I still don't know how anyone could put up with him he was so good at playing that character.

THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST FAMILY SERIES FROM THE LATE 5O'S - EARLY 60'S. EVERY EPISODE HAS A MORAL TO BE LEARNED FOR THE KIDS AS WELL AS THE PARENTS. IT'S FAMILY STORIES ARE IN THE SIMPLE TIMES BUT ARE TIMELESS AND RELATE TO THE SAME FAMILY SITUATIONS IN TODAYS WORLD. WE ALWAYS END THE NIGHT WITH AN EPISODE BEFORE GOING TO BED, AS IT RELAXES US FROM THE DAY TO DAY TROUBLES OF THE WORLD. I BELIEVE THERE ARE AROUND 230 EPISODES, SO THE ENTIRE SERIES LAST US ALMOST A YEAR. WE HAVE MANY GUESTS STAY WITH US AND WE SHOW THEM AN EPISODE EACH NIGHT BEFORE RETIRING, SOME OF THEM REMEMBER THE "BEAVER" AND SOME ARE TOO YOUNG TO REMEMBER...BUT EVEN THE YOUNGER GENERATION GETS HOOKED AFTER A COUPLE EPISODES. I BOUGHT THIS SET FOR MY BROTHER-IN-LAW IN EDMONTON THAT JUST HAD HEART SURGERY. HE WATCHES 4-5 EPISODES A DAY AS HE IS AT HOME HEALING. HE LOVES IT. IN FACT HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTERS ARE ALSO WATCHING AS WELL. YOU WON'T BE SORRY!
YOU WILL LOVE THIS SERIES OF "THE BEAVER"!

Just as good as I remember. Enjoyed this show when I was young and am still enjoying it. Picture and sound quality are good, and the storylines are timeless. They are proving that the Human Condition never changes, that is that kids just want to be loved and accepted. The show was at its best when Beaver and Wally were little and still learning how the world worked. Beaver and Larry were fast friends, and that Judy Hensler, what a little rat fink! ;) Eddie Haskell and his smarmy two-faced charm just made you shake your head sometimes. Watching this show is like touching base with old friends. Great blast from the past!

I'm not just giving you the business Sam, this is one swell boxset that includes all 234 uncut and remastered black & white episodes of this classic show plus much more.

Leave It To Beaver aired for 6 seasons from 1957 to 1963. Each of the 6 seasons have 39 episodes that are spread out over 6 single-sided dual-layered dvds which are housed in their own separate cases. All 6 dvd cases plus a bonus dvd are housed inside a vary sturdy cardboard slipcase.

Video: Shout Factory went all-out and did an incredible job remastering Leave It To Beaver. The show is presented in its original full frame 1:33 ratio and looks fantastic. The show is in black & white and looks clean, sharp, and bright.

Audio: The only audio track on this set is English 2.0 mono. It is clear sounding and I have no complaints

Subtitles: There are no subtitles on the set but it is close-captioned in English only. I'm not sure why Shout didn't include subtitles in this day and age where hdmi is so frequently used. Hdmi does not support close-captioning. If you connect your dvd player to your tv via hdmi, you cannot access the close-captioning and will need to connect your player tv via composite cables and watch the show with slightly degraded picture quality. This is not an issue to me but I figured it may be a big issue for others and is worth mentioning.

Extras: Each season includes an episode of Shokus Internet Radio's Stu's Show. This is an audio only feature that plays over several episodes. The shows are fun to listen to and include various interviews Jerry Mathers, Tony Dow, Ken Osmond, and Frank Bank.
There is also a bonus dvd exclusive to this set that has a bunch of goodies on it. It includes: 1. The LITB unaired pilot, 'It's a Small World'. 2.
