HASH(0xa66a5534) out of 5 stars Works for dual external monitor May 31 2011

Docking stations are expensive and don't always work with the different model of laptops. I got this DisplayPort to VGA adapter as a way of hooking up two external monitors as separate views. The DisplayPort and VGA ports both work at the same time for my Lenovo W510 laptop (laptop display won't work when using two external monitors). After about a month of using the adapter, it is working great, I don't notice any lag/refresh problems. And delivery/price was pretty good too.

HASH(0xa6b82f54) out of 5 stars Works well...... Feb. 9 2012

My only beef with this device is it came with no documentation. So I plugged it in expecting it to work, but it didn't. After some fiddling, I realized I needed to update my video driver. After doing that it worked fine.

I use mine for work and for that I have no issues. I don't know how well this would work for graphics-intensive games.

Overall I would consider this a good option to extend your display without having to install a new video card.

HASH(0xa66307d4) out of 5 stars This is way easier... March 5 2012

A long time ago, I had to install a second video card in my old computer to get dual monitors. When work sent me a new computer, with much small chassis, it was clear that a the video card solution might not work. That's when I found this cable. So much easier. Plugged it in and was up and running. I've had it for a few weeks now and really there are no problems, I don't experience any lag between the two monitors, etc. Definitely worth it.

HASH(0xa6630900) out of 5 stars Worked Perfectly Feb. 17 2012

This is a cable. All I need is for it to work and this is exactly what it did. I plugged it in and it worked. I find it difficult to say this cable is better or worse than one made by a more expensive manufacturer because what other criteria is important beside functioning properly. Consructiong seemed good. The product does not appear to be flimsy or shotty so I am happy.

I guess the best way to sum it up is by whether or not I would purchase this again or reccomend it to a friend or colleague. The answer is yes on both accounts. Buy this cable, it will do what you need it to.
HASH(0xa64fe420) out of 5 stars Only works for Lenovo Jan. 29 2014

Works fine, does what is advertised. Only issue is not with the product but the fact that it's exclusive to certain Lenovo models. Looks just like a HDMI cord but is not.
