Product Description

In this stunning conclusion to the Corpus Brides Trilogy featuring spies & assassins in Europe, find out what happens when the dust settles in the aftermath of the mutiny inside their ranks. Danger is still lurking, though... as is death...

Let mercy come
...and wash away our sins...

A woman on the run
Valeriya Morozova has managed to carve out a do-over for herself away from the clutches of the Corpus agency. The one formerly known as Anastasiya still lives on the edge, paranoid anyone will bust her secret and turn her in. Agency leaders believe her to be at the heart of the failed mutinous plot to overtake command, and the price of that betrayal—never mind that she is innocent—will be her life, paid in blood.

A man who’s always followed orders
In his decades inside the Corpus agency, case officer and former super-spy Graeme Whitman—aka Scott—has always paid heed to rules and obeyed all his orders. When he is chosen to bring the traitor Anastasiya back into the fold, Scott knows it will be just one more job he will successfully complete. After all, doing the right thing is atonement for your past mistakes, right?

Secrets running deep
Scott has secrets; who doesn’t? But he isn’t prepared for the full cupboard of skeletons Anastasiya carries with her...starting with the reason why she ran away from the agency. The more he digs, the less he is certain of, until he comes to ask himself why everyone has falsely painted her as a hard-hearted sociopath.

But is Anastasiya a victim, or a skilful manipulator? When her past collides with her present, the future as both she and Scott conceived it shatters. They’ve answered the call of duty all their lives—will they have to make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of love?

HASH(0xa24af204) out of 5 stars Awesome Story full of Suspense and Romance April 4 2015

The best way for me to describe this book is `balanced'. Action, interwoven with romance, countered with intrigue, set off with a bit of psychotic, and yet stabilized with some comedy and cuteness. It read like a movie, with the scenes so descriptive that I saw them in my mind's eye.

The moment I met Valeriya in Book 2 of the Corpus Brides, I wanted to read her story. Imagine my surprise when I learned she had one. And yet I wondered how a medical doctor's book could prove intriguing. After all she wasn't in the field. I needn't have worried because Ms. Monodee made it happen with twists, turns, and action that kept me on my toes.

I wanted Scott, the hot green eyed man who had a role in all three of the books, for myself, but Valeriya was a great choice for him, too. He's one of those quintessential, get it done, kind of guys who knows how to give his heart to a woman. A beautiful love story that kept me wondering if they would end up together because the obstacles they had thrown at them seemed insurmountable at times. No spoilers from me, but I'm not sure if I'd ever get over one of the things that Valeriya did. She's one woman no one should mess with.

I loved this book. Enough said.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

This final instalment of the Corpus Brides Trilogy starts with Scott on the tail of Anastasiya. She had disappeared from the Corpus agency almost 9 months ago while there had been a major investigation into a mutiny ring at the agency. All fingers pointed to Anastasiya as being involved since she had top level clearance and had run. Now Scott is tracking her on a cold trail until he stumbles upon her in Portofino. Things are even more complicated for Scott as he has loved her from afar. The picture painted of her at the agency is of a cold manipulative sociopath. If she is at fault, he would take her in. Anastasiya ran from the agency for her own reasons and nothing would make her go back. Not even Scott who she'd loved and mourned when he'd 'died'.

Can these two trust each other enough to bare their secrets to each other? They soon realise that to survive the machinations of the Corpus they have to rely on their love and each other.

A gripping conclusion to the series. You won't want to put it down once you've started.

HASH(0xa24b5b28) out of 5 stars A great conclusion to the series March 11 2015

Zee delivered on the final book in this series in this story that kind of reminded me of Burn Notice. This books asks the question: When you’ve been a spy and part of the Agency, is it possible to be ever rid of your involvement? Will it shadow you for the rest of your life? And by the way, why did you get burned in the first place?
I love that the lid is lifted on some of the Agencies secrets that have been hinted at previously. Change is afoot and heads will roll, literally and figuratively. Is Valeriya about to be oen of those heads? Not if Graeme can help it.
If you enjoy spy thrillers, then you really have to grab the books in this series.

Let Mercy Come is a stunning conclusion to the Corpus Brides Trilogy. I was riveted from the very first page and could not put down this book until I finished. The chemistry between Graeme Whitman (aka Scott) and Anastasiya Morozova is electrifying plus an exciting and complex plot making Let Mercy Come a definite must read. Zee Monodee sure knows how to write fantastic romantic suspense novels as well as paranormal books which are also outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let Mercy Come is book three of the Corpus Brides Trilogy. They are romantic suspense books set in Europe and I do believe you need to read them all in order to get the most from them.

Anastasiya ran away from the secret agency and is believed to be the head of the failed mutiny. Scott has been sent to track her down and bring her in. However when he finds her his feelings are re-kindled. But it's the discovery that she left to protect her baby and not because she had any part in the mutiny which helps his decision to help her and not turn her over to the boss.

They make a new life as Vanessa and James Mather, until the head of Corpus finds them and makes a shocking announcement. With a new role to play and a hunt for a murderer there are many twists, turns and revelations. Just who can you trust? Who will go to lengths to betray you? And who will have the strongest desire to live in the end?

I've read this series in stages with many books in between and I did struggle to catch up with some of the characters, however it is still a good storyline with strong characters in some lovely settings.

This review is based on a free copy of the book given to me by the author.
