"This book is a biography of a woman I have loved and admired for the whole of my life.
In December 1944 a German family of seven were captured and convicted of war crimes for harboring Jews.
I have known this story for most of my life. In the twilight of her years, this lady has decided that it is time for her story to be told, so it will be recorded for future generations.
The woman and her sister were interned in Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp from December 1944 until Liberation on 13 April 1945.
This is a true account of her experience as told by her."

HASH(0xa188a1ec) out of 5 stars Heart Wrenching Sept. 23 2015

Format: Kindle Edition
Was quite a short story, but 5 stars for making me feel every emotion.
An incredibly moving story of a time in history that should never be forgotten. The cruelty of WW2 imposed on prisoners of war. The story is mainly of Inga and her horrific tale of capture and incarceration in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. I don't like to give spoilers but I'm glad the story had a HEA and the epilogue continued her long life details. Bravo, brave lady for surviving and more importantly living a full life.
HASH(0xa188a264) out of 5 stars Sad, so sad Sept. 14 2015

I was given an ARC of Liberated for an honest review. I knew going in that it was going to be gut wrenching. The torture that Inga and other women suffered at the hands of her captors made my stomach churn. What her sister said to her was unforgivable, yet this amazing woman not only lived, she got married and had a child. I was sobbing, sobbing, then cheering in the end.

If you're ready for the unvarnished truth of what women in WWII concentration camps endured, then this is the book for you.

Wow, what a compelling, heart wrenching true story. Even if it was fiction it would have any reader in tears, but being a True Story it just touches every nerve in your body. Every emotion is exposed and touching your whole soul. Inga, wow! What an inspiring woman, how you survived is beyond me. Much love sent out to the survivors of this true account. <3 Well written and nicely paced. Highly recommend. I also recommend getting a new box of tissues before you start xox

I finished reading Liberated and felt compelled to write a review. I was crying my eyes out. Inga is an absolute inspiration. What an amazingly strong, brave, heroic woman and Tom was the absolute definition of a gentleman. I was privileged to have read Inga's story. Thank you for sharing it with the world.

Liberated is a narrative account on the life of one woman living in a Concentration Camp during WWII. The grotesque details of what she endured is she even survived was a miracle. Inga is an inspiration to us all.
