Absolutely loved this dispenser at first. I performed 3 oil changes with it and it worked wonderfully; very efficient. I went to move it today and noticed that the threaded plastic collar that holds the flexible hose on cracked! I don't store oil in it, but I'm wondering if the solvency of synthetic oil residue caused it to fatique. If so, this product is extremely limited it's use. Really too bad. I raved about it the first couple months I had it...

I like to be exact when changing my oil, I hate glancing at the jug or bottle multiple times when filling up. Hopefully this product helps out with that, I will find out this weekend. To the people who are torquing down the spout fitting until it breaks, what the heck?! You don't have to try and screw it all the way down which is probably what you are doing. Get some Teflon tape and some oil resistant RTV, put the tape on the threads and put the RTV on the lip where the screw fitting mates and you shouldn't ever have any leaks(provided you let the RTV cure first). You also won't have to torque the fitting down so much to the point where you break it. Another thing you can do is get some printable address labels and write down the oil weight and capacity for multiple vehicles, my hand writing is garbage so I prefer to do this.

perfect for mixing a full gallons of antifreeze. I wish it were less opaque but you can still see the measurements with the naked eye. Sometimes I need to shine a light in it to better see the level when I'm filling it with just water.
