Deluxe CD/DVD edition of this 2010 live release from the Irish-flavored Punks. This set contains Flogging Molly's epic performance at the Greek Theatre in September of 2009. DVD features a 20 song full concert, seven music videos, out takes, back stage footage and candid interviews. The CD is the audio component that accompanies the video portion.

The video is very professionally shot with good lighting, great camera work on multiple cameras, great sound and a great performance. VERY impressive live video, BUT...it doesn't stop there - because also included are 7 or 8 of their 'studio' videos, as well as interview footage.
The audio CDs are great quality with a REALLY well chosen set list. So many great songs, every one of them are great and really come alive in the live setting. The mix is good and just enough crowd noise to add excitement but not enough to be obnoxious (which is a pet peeve of mine for live recordings). Very well done.
And for the price? I paid $7.99 for 2 CDs and a DVD, who could possibly complain about that? It'd be a steal at three times the price.
If you are a fan, GET IT. And show it to your non-fan friends, and they will probably be fans before you know it.
FYI, the song list for CD2 is wrong. Tobacco Island is the first song (with Rebels of the Sacred Heart being #2, and so on)
However, having seen them live, i must admit to never having noticed the Dave King-ah vocal-ah tick-ah before. His-ah sing-ah ing-ah experience-ah, doesn't translate-ah... arrgh... quite-ah so well-ah to-ah DV-ah D-ah... He suffers from the James Hetfields (or Whitney Houstons, if you like) and that vocal tick becomes seriously annoying after a while. So much so you'll be tempted to break out the originals before this gets a second airing.
But the quality of songs, even those off the dire 'Float' album (songs from albums one and two are quite obviously better recieved by the crowd), and a bravura performance from all involved manage to outweigh the negatives. It's just too damn catchy!
And props to the guys in the pit. For a similar home experience, blindfold yourself and ask the family to come at you with 2x4's, as if you were a human piñata. If you have no family just throw yourself in front of the nearest combine harvester*, the feeling is much the same-ah!
