Bought this because it was a package deal with a mouse included and I needed something for my spare room setup.

The first thing that springs to mind is the labels on all the keys are just low quality paper stickers. This means in a matter of weeks all regularly used Keys will be worn down to blank.

The next issue would be the lack of edges on the frame. While the keyboard is a decent, standard size, which is a nice change of pace from the usual wireless keyboards that are so compact that they're a pain to use, it's edge are so miniscule it's impossible to pick up without mashing Keys.

Keys are also rather stiff feeling, but hopefully they will loosen up with use.

Pros included the aforementioned good layout, long battery life (I hope) deep press Keys and standard layout. The fact that it has both mouse and board on one USB dongle is also nice.

It may be a good, cheap board for a seldom used setup, or something you use in bed, but it's certainly not going to replace my main board.

I've bought several of these and still have one in stockpile just in case mine breaks in case I can't find another one. That statement alone explains why I give it a 5 star review ;)

I type a LOT and by the time I wear them out the letters on the keys are faded. I've had them fail due to high usage.

Overall the keys are very nice to type, just the right height, weight, etc. You can definitely type really fast with these keyboards because of the way the keys are setup. Not the layout, that's standard, but rather the height, weight, etc. of the keys. Very nice keyboard

Basic keyboard and mouse. The mouse is a bit small for my taste since I have large hands, I have to use a claw type grip to use this mouse and it's not very comfortable, but at this price range it's what you would expect. I only use this set occasionally though, it was just meant as a cheap way to control my computer from the living room. My keyboards lights did not work, however, but it's not a big deal (caps lock and num lock lights).

I bought these to be able to control my computer from my living room. My computer was against the wall and the living room couch was on the other side against the same wall. The signal was not good enough to be able to use the keyboard+mouse while they were on the coffee table, I had to always move the keyboard and mouse closer to the wall which was very annoying. Had to buy USB extension cable so I could mount the receiver piece in the living room.

If you were just using this for your computer desk and are not planning to move these far away from the computer, and also don't mind a smaller mouse, than it would suit your needs just fine.

Very quiet and soft keyboard. The mouse is small, the size sort of in between a regular mouse and a mobile mouse. If you have a condition such as tenosynovitis, you might have problems with frequent use of the mouse.

having used several different wireless combos, while significantly cheaper than the others, this is also the worst performer of the lot. The keyboard works ok, but the mouse isn't as crisp and responsive as higher priced Logitech units and a Microsoft unit that was in the middle pricewise between this and the higher end Logitech. At about 6 feet away and on a semi-gloss service, mouse behaviour is erratic. Perhaps at a desk, on a mouse pad, within a few feet, with the usb connection out the front it might be good. Having grown accustomed to daily use of the Microsoft (at over twice the distance away) this low priced unit feels cheap and clumsy.
You get what you pay for: this isn't a high value for the money item. The performance is reduced inline with the reduced price compared to better keyboard and mouse combos.

For $30, it was a good price for what you get. The keyboard performs well, and has a standard keyboard feel to it.

The mouse was a bit of a disappointment, as I was buying this combo mainly for the mouse. The middle scroll wheel is difficult to press in (used a lot to open links in new tabs). Mouse feels oversensitive when trying to click accurately, and is difficult to keep still while clicking. I sometimes need to click 3-4 times before clicking where I want.

I would suggest looking around before buying this product.

Good hardware, understated design. Often used 3 or more meters away from the receiver and has no problems whatsoever. Great solution for a home theatre PC, if you can't deal with tiny keyboard & mouse pad combos.

The MK270 does not work with my unifying receiver, though conflicting messages in one spot of the product page says it does. Instead, it has a similar but distinct 'nano receiver', prohibiting binding with my other devices that are of the unifying variety. For this, I take away a star. Even so, I'm very happy with it and will keep it. After a day of use, it had a reliable connection at 20ft+, worked with gaming by depressing at least 6 keys at a time, and the box says that the keyboard's two AAA batteries are good for 36 months with the auto-sleep feature (mouse for 12 months). It was a great value for me on sale.
