While there is no arguing that this is an expensive keyboard, most people will probably be asking if it's worth it.

Out of the box, I'd have to say no. I have experienced several issues with having my cellphone too close to the onboard USB ports causing the keyboard to...get ready for this...RESTART.

Apparently it's a known issue as a quick search on Logitech's support forums brings up several posts on the subject.

Their is no real documentation on how to change the keyboards back-light colours, so you'll have to use Google for that. (Pro-tip: Check the Logitech G-Series Key Profiler application)

However, if you can get around that stuff...it is a truly amazing piece of technology capable of watching YouTube videos, or even XviD's (Although without sound) on the tiny screen itself. (Can't imagine why you'd want to do that really...).

The default Logitech applications aren't overly impressive as they include an IMAP/POP3 client, standard clock/date apps, etc...

Anybody who buys this keyboard will definitely want to look into an application called LCDHost, which allows true customization of that little LCD screen. (Disclaimer: I have no link to the aforementioned application or creator, I'm just a happy user/fan of it.)

Speaking as a former G15 v1 owner, I have no regrets in purchasing this keyboard as it is solid and performs as well if not better then the original G15. The inclusion of onboard USB 2.0 ports is defiantly handy.

So what are you waiting for? Buy one already!

Logitech has done it again with this award winning keyboard. It is a membrane keyboard which is better for me as it's not as loud as a mechanical keyboard and has so many features and functions that it's actually fun to use. As well, it is a conversation piece with the built in 320x240 LCD screen! I've found that this screen is very limited in it's abilities but does look nice and is a cool added feature. I have mine display CPU and RAM info all the time so it's good for me. The macro keys are great for both gaming and productivity. On the fly programming is awesome, however, the caveat is that you must remember which macro key does. 65M colour backlight is cool and not overdone. I personally prefer just the characters on the keys to light up which this membrane keyboard does as I find that with a lot of mechanical keyboards now the colour is all over the place and although it looks cool and works great, it takes away from the intent of making the keys more defined and visible. Just my opinion of course but that's what this is...my review. I find the keyboard responds quickly and precise. Key press is nice and firm yet not noisy at all. This is a concern as I use a microphone at my desk for various reasons and residual noise is a concern. The Windows Lockout key is a nice touch to prevent accidental window minimizing during gameplay or anything else. Another noteworthy mention is the Num/Scroll/Caps lock lights are all placed in the proper configuration for key placement....the caps is on the left, scroll in the middle and num on the right...exactly opposite the standard but makes a lot more sense at a glance. Great keyboard, it won't disappoint.

Overall I would say the G19 was a fantastic keyboard while I was using it for my everyday keyboard needs. I have since upgraded to a Max-Keyboard X7 Cherry MX Blue keyboard due to a spill. It does have a funny quirk that another reviewer also talked about (see con 6). Please before you spend the amount you do on a G19(s) or equivalent priced dome keyboard look up mechanical keyboards you will not be disappointed. Not a bad product at all but at the end of the day better for the same cost can be had these days if not for a bit more.

Pros
Very Good Dome Keyboard
LCD Screen
2 Port USB 2.0 Hub
Programmable keys
Dedicated Multimedia Keys (Volume Control, Play, Pause, Next, & Previous All Have Dedicated Keys No FN Key To Mess With)
Easy Software To Manage The Keyboard
Good Durability (See Last Con)

Cons
- Not Mechanical / Using Switch Type Keys (Better & More Durable Then Rubber Dome)
- Pricey (For A Dome Keyboard)
- Too Small Length Power Cord & The Fact You Need One (I Understand Why The Need, The LCD Screen)
- Very Long Keyboard (Due To The Huge Bank of Programmable Keys and Dedicated Multimedia Keys)
- Should Include A Nicer Wrist Rest.
- BBQ Lighter Restarts Keyboard (Very Weird Happened Before Next Con)
- I Wish I Never Spilled DR. Pepper On It. (RIP Right End Enter Key)

The Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard is expensive. That much is obvious.
After a couple weeks of trying it out I'm still not certain it was worth it, that said, i don't think i could ever go back to a normal keyboard.

The keys literally light up any color, it's not like with some things where you have eight colors to choose from, with this board you're given a full spectrum,
and the keys pretty much hit the color you want. The LEDs have some limits however - you're never going to get it 100% but you come pretty close. e.g. white comes out
white with a slight purplish tint, or maybe it's just my eyes... it's that close.

The screen is a gorgeous display - everything on it looks fantastic. The controls are a bit sticky and feel really cheap however, in this day and age, and in a Logitech product I'm a little disappointed by their choice in a really stiff d-pad. Honestly i would have preferred to drop another 50-100 on a touch screen. It's one of those things where you're already spending this much, might as well go the extra mile. My nVidia 580 is out for warranty service right now, so i can't really speak as to the in-game integration, but i did fire up WoW really quickly just to try it out on day one and everything looked pretty good.

One of the features I really like, and works very well, is the macro keys. There's a nice little key marked "MR", in hitting it, the built in screen displays a quick effortless step by step instruction to program in a macro on the fly. The only issue i have with it at all, is that regardless of your color settings, "MR" does not light up when not engaged, and will solely light up red when engaged. Likewise M1 M2 and M3 (your three on-the-fly choices of key color) only light up when engaged and only light up orange.
