Lovely Vicious is a cleverly written story, with dialogue that makes you laugh out loud, and an ending that will leave your mouth hanging wide open and your fingers itching for more. It's rare to find a unique writing voice in this world that is enjoyable and done well. Sara achieves all of that and so much more. Enjoy the ride!- New York Times Bestselling Author, J. Sterling
"All is fair in love and war, and this is war in its most fun form. With unapologetic attitude, spunk, and spark that flies off the page, all intertwined with a raw emotion and depth that surprised the hell out of me. Reminded me of one of my favorite teen movies―John Tucker Must Die.” ―Stacey Trombley, author of Naked
About the Author
Sara Wolf lives in San Diego, California, where she burns instead of tans. When she isn't pouring her allotted lifeforce into writing, she's reading, accidentally burning houses down whilst baking, or making faces at her highly appreciative cat.

This story starts out with Isis arriving at a party that she was invited to as the "new girl". While there, she sees this model of a guy treating a girl from school like garbage and making her cry. Isis does not agree with the way this guy is treating her so she steps in. The results of her stepping in? Isis punching him in the face. There were no slow points during this book and I was enthralled until the last page. When I finished this novel I was immediately dying for the sequel and I cannot wait for it to come out!
I greatly enjoyed this novel and really felt for Isis as I was that girl. Even though I had boyfriends, unlike Isis, I still never thought myself beautiful or worthy of anyone's love. I still get incredibly uncomfortable when I am given a compliment so I related to Isis and her struggles. The one thing I found a little weird was the way Isis would fly to the complete other extreme if someone would compliment her to the point of telling them that they didn't need to lie to her, but on multiple occasions she would talk about how sexy or hot she was.
Another way I related to Isis was the way she talked. The silly made up words such as "illegaler" are things I tend to do on a daily basis. It made her a more believable high school student as who hasn't made up words before. I found Isis to be snarky and funny and I loved getting inside her head during this book.
As for Jack? Don't even get me started on that boy! Cold, and a slight bit of an jerk, I absolutely loved him! I am always a sucker for the jerk who could possibly be a really sweet guy inside. Now Jack may be cruel, but he has a reason for the way he acts and the distance he keeps people. He is definitely more then he seems.
I highly enjoyed this novel and I do recommend this novel! Adding this one to the vault!

I always lay out the good and the bad in my book reviews, but Lovely Vicious is seriously testing my restraint.
Why is that? Oh, let me tell you…
Set the scene: Isis has lost more than 80 pounds. She’s just left a school where she was bullied and made fun of because of her weight, and she’s ready to start over at new school in a new state.
For YA books, that’s a pretty typical story. What makes Isis (which no one EVER mentions is a really unusual name) different is that she’s shows this crazy mix of upbeat self confidence with an inner dialogue of self-hate and misery. The problem with this personality division is that it’s a little too separate. Isis seems like she’s suffering from a multiple personality disorder at times.
Her switch in tone and voice is very jarring, and I was left unsettled throughout the story.
Typically when there are different POVs, it’s consistent and introduced early. Like a change every other chapter or some type of pattern. Nope, not here. It’s Isis the whole time except for two random chapters in the middle of the book. I don’t think they’ve even a whole chapter – it’s just a few pages. Weird, right??
While all these things would cause me to scratch my head a bit and wonder what’s going on, there’s something that happens at the end of Lovely Vicious that sent me in a spiral.
It’s a huge cliffhanger in the story, and I don’t want to spoil it for you (unless you want me too…), so I’ll just say it’s THE MOST insane, illogical and stupid plot device use I’ve ever read. And, we all know I’ve read A LOT.
What. Just. Happened. ???????
And, it’s not because of the mechanics of it, it’s the logic – or lack thereof – and the sheer pointlessness of it.
Then there’s the huge plot holes and total dissipation of threads that I highly doubt will be restarted in book 2.
Ok, here’s what I will say about Lovely Vicious: It held my attention. It has some witty banter (that later become irritating). It is ideal for readers needing a book rebound (is this a thing? If not, I just made it a thing).
There is a lot to be desired in this book. Huge plot holes, annoying main characters and a absolutely illogical ending has made it clear that this book is not for me. And, I would suggest you also save your time and money by staying away from Lovely Vicious.
To put it bluntly..I mean I am talking about Iris right? This is the story of Isis who had a traumatic experience, she lost a ton of weight and moved to a brand new school where she meets Jack.It is all out war when she meets him.
So the chemistry between Jack and Isis was amazing.Isis was just an all out amazing character whose quick tongue was used very well against Jack. The two go at it with an all out war but the lines are blurred and suddenly war isnt as fun any more when you are falling for your enemy. The ending...Well I might have a WEE bone to pick with you Sara Wolf but I understand what you did.I do however hope in book two that Isis will be able to overcome what happened to her.I also was very curious as too what was on Isis's arm but it was never described.I hope that will be described in the next book.Oh and The was Isis was described was that she was alot larger then portrayed in the blurb before she lost the weight. But I actually think that had more to do with Isis's lack of self esteem.Oh and Jack Jack Jack...I love him.I cannot wait to see what happens with them in the next book.
The writing was on point.I loved it.I literally had my eyes glued to my kindle and it died at literally 95%.I considered throwing it but then thought better of it.I of course want to finish the story and throwing it would get me a broken kindle.I will admit when I was at 88% I was scared because I was unprepared for the story to finish as I was unaware there would be a book two but you set it up perfectly and now I am just waiting on baited breath for Book two..Okay I may bug you and beg you ..and just when you think I have begged you enough..I will beg you more for book two.I just want you to go give yourself a hug or look in the mirror and say to yourself..You did it.You impressed This blogger and you deserve a hug.You have made a fan out of me.
You've made my pull out my spirit fingers..thats a good thing!
Oh and I will be posting an amazing post on my blog with gifs at Lebooksquirrel.blogspot.com
