My father, the late Dr. Bong Hak Hyun, conceived of (and received support from Col. Forney and Gen. Ned Almond of the X Corps to execute) the Hungnam Evacuation during the Korean War which saved the lives of approximately 100,000 civilian lives. He loved this book and was insistent that I get a copy. It was the last present I received from him. (Shortly after that his Alzheimers took a turn for the worse). I recall it being a great read.
